Sad sight indeed... Although if you look at it long enough, it looks like some sort of aquatic predator

start up and then kill itself... jm, your best bet is to take out the spark plugs, take out the fuses for the plugs and then try to turn over the motor, any water should shoot right out. Also change your oil, it will be milky white because water got into it. Check your other stuff too. it looks like your driver fuse box may be gone already since the water probably arced it.

best of luck on getting it fixed and staying save

ya, chicago got it pretty good!

My family lives in Elgin, IL. and we had to evacuate our house. We live next to a forest preserve and all the water runoff overflowed onto our street. My sister's Civic had 4 inches of water inside. Smells awful now, but is driveable. Cook County is in a "state of emergency."

It was the most rain on record in 125 years. Over 6.6" in one day. My Fiance's condo had the gargage and lobby flood, and the police have the area closed off still. The water came about 3/4 up my driveway. I had to park several blocks away and wade to my house. Luckily it remained dry, but another couple inches of water and my garage would have been wet.
