Spoon Sports Acura RL Endurance Racecar - One Beautiful RL!!

Havent seen this on this gallery yet so I figured I would share, this is the endurance car used at the 24 hours of Thunderhill race........one beautiful RL!!

If you search, you will find links to the articles describing the race and the preparation for the race. The car hit some debris on the track which damaged one of the computers, and the car could only race in some kind of limp home mode. I understand the engine got fried or something.

IIRC, I believe the idea was to test the longevity of the SH-AWD, but ultimately the test failed do to engine problems.

2006 was the rough year for the Spoon RL. 2007 was much better mechanically. There are some threads as noted above.

seems so weird such a luxury sedan all prepped for racing. You would think they could do a better job on the front mesh and engine bay, red looks like ketchup.
