I will be sending out my car soon to Vit, and my 1 year old axles sounds like they are going to crap again. So, I'm send out my old axles to The Drive Shaft Shop to have them make some nice strong 2.9 or greater axles!
Hi,
so its been a year , how are those axle's holding up ?
I got a 2006 RDX with 98,000 on it and am starting to get a little vibration/shimmy during acceleration.
I went in and had the tires/wheels balanced , and checked for trueness , but that wasn't it , got it up on the rack and rotated the front axles , the passenger side axle MAY have a wobble/bend in it , had 3 guys looking at it and we just were not sure if it was bent or if it was just the white paint mark making it look like it was wobbling.
I keep my cars for 200K miles plus , I have a Pathfinder with 336K , so what would be the best axle/half shaft that I can get ??
thank you
Try a road force balance it’s more but worth the money. That might help and save you some time. Also hav the best two tires in the front to help balance as well.
Unfortunately I am hours away from a road force balance machine,
Could it really be that bad , when a dynamic balance came back , great, true and balanced ?
Has anybody tried the NAPA rebuilt axles by Cardone ?
Or have a line on the best axles for the RDX ?

The only thing that helped me out was a road force elite balance & eagle eye elite alignment. I’m only speaking from my personal experiences with my 09’ sh-awd rdx.
