Score or.......?

2005 Civic
67k
1 owner, needs nothing other than attention to the locks
The front seats were covered when bought new along with towels and rugs over the original floor mats.

I’ll put some time and effort into restoring the paint this week as long as the weather cooperates. It’ll be nice to zip around in this and safe th fuel/miles on the Charger.

now i need to make a tint appointment

I'd say total score. I'd have bought it if I came across it

Score, I suppose, if you needed a daily car to beat on a bit. It should have another 100k miles in it minimum...

Definitely score.

If the oil was changed on time everytime I would say it easily has another 200k no problem maybe even 300k.

If OP plans to keep it long term and not just try and flip it then I would change out all the rubber hoses and all the fluids on the engine. It is a 13 year old car that was only driven an average of 5k miles a year. Rubber starts braking down. I would also inspect all the suspension bushings and change out as needed. That is if you plan to keep this car for any significant period of time.

Yes, for me. It’s been ridiculously well maintained. I have the original bill of sale along with every service record. A good friends relative died unexpectedly so i grabbed it and certainly wouldn’t flip it. If that was his intention, he could’ve done that without me and likely sold it for ~$5k

Other than it being considerably slower & much less engaging to drive than the Charger, our '04 was a solid & dependable for years until it was replaced with the F150.

I'm going to say the owners were because that's such a thing to do.

Damn. When I make a tint appointment I have to wait a couple of days. They got you in pretty quick.

I’ve had several cars done there and have referred quite a few customers too. They’re great and take care of me, always. $125.

Tint makes everything look better lol. By chance, do you use Shades of Gray for tinting? Nice score BTW!

Shades did my Acura and i was t too happy with it. Especially when i went back to have a window redone and they balked at it. I use J&J now

Yeah Shades of Gray did my last 3 vehicles as well. They do a good job.

Though a few of my friends have been pulled over on Philmont Ave right there in the last month or so for window tint violations. Now I'm all paranoid even though I've been driving around with tinted windows for over 20 years without a problem.

$125 for tint is great, does the tint last? I know some guys around here that got their cars tinted here for around that price and 1-2 years later the film faded.

By the way nice score on the civic! I had a few of them and they are awesome commuter cars, run forever and super cheap to own.

great score... my wife's aunt in Fairfax has an 03 sedan with 35k miles on it. she only took it to and from work every day 5 miles each way... they are now retired... i keep telling them when they are ready to sell it call me... it would be a perfect car for me to leave at the train station...

100-120 is the going rate around here as well... the Brazilians do great work down in Newark... it's lifetime warranty as well so if it fades they will redo the window... i had a slight bubble in my windshield and they replaced it for me no problem...

Around here $125 will you get you a 1 year warranty at the most. If you want lifetime warranty around here your looking at $225-250 which is crazy for a standard sedan.

To have 5 windows tinted here, it would run me about $400-500.

Both my Accords were $100 because of a Groupon deal. I can't keep a car past 3-4 years so I can't comment on how long the tint last. LOL

Tint hasn’t faded in any measurable degree in any of my cars.... and the warranty is (i think) 3 years, but I’ve never had to go back for any cars

I just clayed and waxed it... came out surprisingly well for a couple hours work
