Every time I go to the dealership to get an oil change or a transmission fluid change I always see several other TL's. So it still seems like there are alot of TL's still out there on the road. I hardly ever see any 4G TL's though.

This has been my experience as well. I see my share of 4gs, but i think more tlx's and actually i really only notice the nsx sitting in the showroom anyway... but there are always 3gs when I have went. Such a nice looking vehicle.

My dealer generally has quite a few 3G in and out of there. My MT '05 always gets comments from the service advisors though....they don't see too many MT ever. The last time my wife took my car in, a different service advisor came in asking that when we do consider selling it to call him. He has been looking for a MT and can see the majority of the service history on mine.

The inconvenient truth
Get my car serviced at a dealership?
Why don't I just throw my money down the toilet.

We only have two Acura dealerships here in the state of New Hampshire, and the one in Nashua currently has this (Automatic) beauty on their floor:

I went to the Acura dealership in Grand Rapids a few months ago (to browse for my wife) and saw one 2007 NBP TL in the Service lot. Then I saw a sales associate get in it and drive it home. Either he was stealing it, because he new it was a gem or it was his.
Other than that, there were only a few TSXs and MDXs in the pre-ownded section and service lots from what I saw at a quick glance.

I saw a couple of base 3G's on the lot of our Acura dealer when I went in to have the Takata airbag recall and AT software update on my 4G. They looked to be in pretty good shape. Both were 04-06's based on the 5 spoke wheel design. They always have a pretty good variety of sedans on the lot. 1G and 2G TSX's, 3G and 4G TL's. I'm guessing they're pretty aggressive on accepting trades. Quite a few at my office parking lot as well. A 1G TSX in excellent shape and a few tricked out 1G CL's and RSX's. I'm the only 4G TL. One of the executives drives a very nice TL-S. I've talked shop with him a few times. Great looking car.
Honda's in general are advertised pretty heavily here so Acura sedans are actually pretty common in SLC.

Usually Acura / honda dealers don't keep junk Acura-Honda trades on their lot. Any time I see a 3G at my local Acura dealers it is usually in excellent condition. It's amazing how some will have a dealer 40 miles away and I have 3 in the immediate Atlanta metro area with the closest being 12 miles away.

I very rarely see 3Gs listed by the three Acura dealers in this area anymore. Unless a car is pristine, it's probably not hitting the mark to avoid being sent to auction.

If people want to "save" money by going to indi shop then be my guest, I got a whooping $7.XX after tax for an oil change at the "stealership"

I dont mean seeing 3G's for sale, just in the service departments. They are mostly to old to be on sale now.

I even priced tires out at my local Acura dealer and they were for sure competitive...their selection of options are just a tad limited.

Exactly why we use a dealer for a lot of our maintenance. Our local Acura dealer is only a few miles from my wife's work...depending on the service being done, they can be competitive and we get a loaner. When Acura pricing stinks, we hit up our local Honda dealer which is 6 miles from the house. Even my wife's car is generally taken to the GMC dealer for normal maintenance since the price is pretty much the same as taking it to an indie shop.

As far as service goes, I haven't been to a dealer in years now. On my last visit, I don't think I saw any 3Gs. For a while they were pushing really, really hard to get trade-ins on 3Gs--going as far as writing "THIRD GEN TLS WANTED" on a white board in the waiting area and hitting people with Negotiating 101 tactics like "everything on your car needs to be fixed, wouldn't you like to trade it in?"

TB/WP cost $1100 at the dealer ........ Indie shop charged $1200.

We've gotten a few 3G and 4G TLs at my dealership, not an Acura dealership though but the 3G TL's sell like hot cakes. The nicest 4G we had was a black on black 6 speed and that was sold really fast, I would have scooped it up but I already have my 3G and that would have just been another car to pay off lol.
Last Summer, we had an 05 TL traded in, I did the used car inspection, oil change, 105k timing belt/water pump kit service, etc on it and it was sold within the same week as the trade in.

We got quite a few Acura dealerships in Atlanta. Of course, it is Atlanta. I went to an Acura dealership today to get a few plastic clips for the fender well and plastic engine covers. The service guy was nice enough to give me 5 for free. Really nice of him. But I needed ten, so I bought 5. Ended up costing me over $22 for 5 measly plastic clips. Don't get me wrong, the clips are very nice compared to what is on the car now. I didn't know the clips are made to where the pin isn't supposed to come out. Well the decade old ones do, but the new ones are almost built to be one piece. Anyways, $22 is too much for 5 clips. LOL. Oh, I almost forgot why I posted in this thread. But being at the dealership, I seen an immaculate Type-S sitting outside the garage bay. Really wish to get a 07-08 6MT Type-S one day when the price decrease.
