Thinking of a custom license plate for a new toy
Just for fun thread:
So as I am patiently waiting for the next year production run for the toy I have been eyeing, I am thinking in advance what kind of custom license plate to get. I can't order it until I take delivery, but I thought it might be fun to think of names for the car. In short it is a performance vehicle so I want to have something fun and it has to be 8 characters or less. I thought of MONSTER, ANIMAL, and BEAST. SR71 is not available. Any ideas?

GIven your history... How about RDROCKET (ROADROKT), ROKETSHP, BLKBIRD, SR71PILT
Or if you want one to use on your RLX Sport Hybrid...STLTHSPD
Good luck and make sure to post lots of pics of your new toy.

All great ideas! I figured in the nutty world we live in now, having something fun to ponder might be nice. Thank you!
*curiousity piqued* You can't just drop a tidbit like that in here without telling us what it is.

Can you at least tell us if it's black? In that case, I'd go with BLKBIRD, too.

Silver paint color, plenty of exposed carbon fiber, black painted wheels, red calipers, big honking American V8, seats 4 comfortably, has 265 wide front tires and 295 rears, and has a trunk. Survey says???????
Is it the Corvette Grand Sport with Carbon65 option??
Edit: Can't be the vette - the tires are wider on the vette.
Hmmmmm. It's not the NSX...No THREE Sport Hybrid household???
Whhooops, I missed the part about seating FOUR....Hmmmmm

I've mentioned it many times so it probably was not too much of a stretch for anyone to guess. I always wanted a Vette and the Caddy is just a bad ass 4 door Corvette so to speak. I am not too fond of the center dash, but by waiting until the 2019s are being produced, I can see if they update that part, if not I will likely order an 2018. It will be a dry warm weather vehicle just for fun. I have not even driven one yet. The value is enormous and although it is still a little pricey, and I don't care about resale value, it would be a fun car I can have my whole family in for years to come. So it is "practical" right?

If not for the snow, I'd take my V wagon out and burn off what's left of my rear PSSs in your honor.

The dash is unlikely to be updated based on my experience with the 2G CTS-V, whose 2006-design navi system remained unchanged from initial production in 2008 until the end of production in 2014. I owned a 2009, then a 2013 in that period.
I know it'll seem lame, but: 4DRVETT
This is not a "practical" thing, but I think it will be lots of fun. I checked and SR71HABU is available at the moment. Too bad I can't get it now. Or can I? Maybe get them for the Blackbird and then transfer them to the beast. Just thinking....
I would want CADZILLA but I'm sure it's taken. The CTS-V certainly isn't your Grandpa's Cadillac and I've always loved the coupe - but sadly my wife thinks it's ugly.
Fortunately for me she really likes the Lexus RC-F, which very likely will be the replacement for my Sport Hybrid (or the GS-F if I stick with four doors).

And it mocks most any other car out there, with 640 tire shredding horsepower.
good choice on vehicles, RLX- I think you made a wonderful choice, balancing luxury and raw power. It's crazy the incentives you can get on cadillacs, too, which I'm guessing you cashed in on.

I saw a Tesla once with a plate that read "PASNGAS". I found out later that is someone I know who is a gastroenterologist. How fitting.
On a different note, I got the final number for this toy. On a MSRP of $107k after all of the back and forth, I settled on $91k as a deal price. Seems excellent to me. I'm looking for a 2019 in which that production starts in August so I am told. Apparently this also includes an invitation to their driving school too! Should be fun! More to follow later in the summer.

lol passngas is funny!
IIRC, most "high powered" cars offer a driving track school thing.
dad had bought a 2010 SRT challenger and it did come with a track learning experience weekend thing, he was out of the country and didn't take advantage of it...however, he has had colorful career in law enforcement, so i'm sure he knows most techniques.
