I'd do the front brakes just to get rid of that stupid light on the dash

It's an Audi.

It will always have lights on the dash.

Well if the entire front end is already off, you might as well.

UPDATE:

Full 3" catless downpipes, midpipes, and all of my maintenance items are on the way.

Only piece of the puzzle I need now is the AEM wideband and fluids!

Most of these items are preventative and expensive as hell - I only go OEM on parts that are absolutely critical (Like the Rear Main Seal ... $134 fucking dollars)

I want the car as reliable as a 16 year old German car can be, very few corners will be cut

UPDATE:

All items necessary for the motor pull have been ordered

Downpipes have been shipped, expecting delivery early next week.
Slave Cylinder, Rear Main Seal, Valve Cover gaskets, RTV gasket maker should arrive this week.

New additions on their way:

1 x USP Braided Slave Cylinder Line
4 x QTs of DOT4 fluid for brake & clutch
1 x Gallon of G13 fluid, distilled water will be picked up from the store
7 x QTs of 5W40 w/ new oil filter and crush washer

I am expecting the motor to be out of the car in the next 2 - 3 weeks depending on the availability of some friends.

Very very very excited guys, a lot of money / research / time has gone into this and I feel it's starting to become a reality now.

Stay tuned.

Crazy plans. Can't wait to see this thing all hooked up. Maybe it'll finally be able to edge out my Miata from dig to 100.

You can use a tow truck if it helps even it out

I'm picking this one up.

I was trying to snag one yesterday off Craigslist but it sold on the day I was supposed to pick it up. Bummer.

I'm sure it could fit ... possibly ... - makes any errand that involves hauling pretty interesting

Lucky enough, we recently picked up a '99 Tacoma single cab with a campershell that my wife daily drives ... cool little truck

Last piece of the puzzle arrived yesterday.

3" catless downpipes w/ v-band clamps. Box came to my door as if it was drop kicked the whole way, luckily the exhaust didn't get damaged

New slave cylinder, USP motorsports stainless steel line, OEM driverside valve cover gasket set, OEM rear main seal, RTV gasket maker:

Motor pull is scheduled for the 21st!

This weekend, I will be heading up to Big Bear Lakes, CA for a car show called Occupy Big Bear .. got my headlights polished up and detailed the car on Sunday.

Should be a good month for ETH FO updates.

Lets just say, the box was split open at the end and exhaust parts were visible.

A few weeks ago, I put 750 miles on the ETH FO in 3 days - I drove from San Diego to Bakersfield to visit a clients office, to Big Bear for a Euro festival, and back to San Diego .. 750 miles and didn't skip a beat.

I got a speeding ticket a month back ... believe me, I really wanted to do a few pulls down this road but I ultimately had some self control

In this case ... it wasn't speeding

Overall, really pleased with this car.

I am beginning the process of pulling the motor tomorrow, the engine comes out on Saturday

Battle station is just about ready - I need a new radiator and the engine hoist is being picked up tomorrow after work.
