Newbie-Almost

Hey guys, My name is Jon and Im from Toledo,Ohio. Im a big car guy, my oldest car is a 90 mustang notchback that is currently undergoing a turbo 5.0 coyote/6r80 swap. I have never owned an Acura but my good friend who is a huge Honda guy has really convinced me how good these cars are. In September I will be buying a new DD and I am looking at 04-08 TL with a manual only or the TSX with a manual-Need 4 doors for my son. I will post up something soon on the black market section but will wait a little bit til all my funds are ready. I have read some great info on here and have crossed off a lot of my questions so hopefully I don't ask annoying stuff. Looking forward to own one of these cars soon- Jon

Thanks man, Yeah it should be just a lil tougher making everything work with the 6r80 trans. Yeah Im hoping to find an 05 up since I heard the 04 might have some issues being first year. I just want the acura dependability and decent gas mileage, My focus blew up and I really miss decent gas mileage, Im currently dd-ing my f150....gas hog. And I cant believe how many different wheels look good on the TL's..wow

both the 04 and 05 suffer from first year woes, but mainly because of the automatic transmission.
you'll be fine if you can find a clean 04 or 05 6MT.
in town with stop and go traffic, i get about 19mpg. lower if i stop light race.
but once on the freeway, you can see up to 32mpg.

Haha that it is...it is definitely a raw driving experience, previous setup was a 357 Windsor/tko trans with good heads, nice internals, n a healthy cam. Went 11.7 N/a then had the opportunity to buy the coyote for a great price...motor/trans in and been sitting a year
