Thank you! I'm trying to get the best deal possible. Since my dealer doesnt have the AWD A-Spec instock. I think I will go with the FWD. Do you guys think it is still a good choice?

I've test driven both and FWD to me had a bit of torque steer to deal with on hard launches. The SH-AWD version just plants itself and goes. Our MDX has SH-AWD also and it just sticks in the corners. I wouldn't go with FWD just because AWD isn't available. Just wait it out. My AWD Aspec TLX is coming in a few weeks and while the wait is annoying, I'd be more annoyed with settling for the FWD in the long run.

There are dealers in H-town who have SH-AWD. Dealers can/do trade cars, give it a shot.

The SH-AWD version has further tweaks that improve suspension performance (bigger sway bar). In addition, the PAWS TLX simply can't put 290 hp to the ground without spinning the tires, especially in Sport and Sport + mode, or so I discovered in my driving the pre-MMC PAWS. I assume it's the same post-MMC unless Acura silently installed the same LSD in the TLX, as in the Civic Type R. Up to you! Make sure you test drive both to be sure.

That's a great deal. Was it a purchase or lease?

Purchase.

Most dealerships refused to go below $42k for the red leather, but luckily I was able to negotiate this price from one dealership.

One thing to keep in mind, this dealerships doc fees were on the very high end (close to $500). They also had fees for VIN etching ($200) and car detailing ($95).

You still got a great deal! Congrats. Any tips on what you did to negotiate down so much on a purchase? There isn't much in an incentive ($750) from Acura right now on purchases.

That's a great deal! Given the MSRP, I assume that is a PAWS A-Spec? SH-AWD A-Spec hasn't made it into the $30k's on the forum yet.

Good catch on PAWS vs AWD. I see more PAWS ASpec's than AWD available. That's got to have a factor on negotiating.

Just shopped around and took the best ePrice I received to different dealers seeing if they would match or beat the offer.

Yup PAWS! Wish I could have opted for the SH-AWD but didn't really see the need for it with my day to day commute.

This probably has more to do with the rubber than the car itself. My 2015 TLX V-6 with Potenza's would always spin with anything more than a gentle press on the gas. I swapped the tires to +1 (19") Continential ExtremeContact Sport and I don't even get a chirp now. Just goes... I haven't floored it from a stop, but I've done about 85% throttle and no problem.

"Car Detailing" for $95 is not really a car detail. Probably just a good wash, and removal of all the protective plastic. It's amazing what a dealership (or most people) consider a detail. A reasonable detail usually takes ~ 2 - 4 hours and a least $250. You'd know it if you saw it.

Brand new cars don't need detailing..and VIN etching is a gimmick. You should have had these fees removed. All bullshit stuff that adds up. You need to negotiate everything.

I absolutely did. Originally I was quoted $39477. When they mentioned the vin etching and detailing fees, I was ready to walk out the door. That's when they slashed the price by $300 to make up for those costs.
