Sup guys, I saw some SUVs out there look very aggressive with those stock Fender trims, those quality high end trims not the Autozone or Pepboys peel and stick. Preferably black or maybe real carbon fiber. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
Like this subtle fender flares? I thought about it but the only problem is the rear door goes all the way to the edge unlike what you see on the X5. So on the rear doors there will be a 2 piece fender flares.
I was gonna have it fabricated in carbon fiber too but too much work and money.

Thanks KB1, I guess a lil flare is nice but not too much. If you or anyone willing to make some thing nice for the MDX, I will buy it.
WOW How is it holding up??? I would love to get back doing some custom fabrication but the person who can do this type of work is Marcus from Heel To Toe. I have given him my CSL spoiler design.

I used to know someone who does custom fabrication but he left for another country and I cannot get a hold of him anymore. His price was very competitive on the fabrication.
I know a few body shop can do some custom works but its not cheap. To be honest, for the MDX, its gonna be a lot of work. So I don't think it will worth it.

I did see an X5 with black stock (I think it was stock) Fender flares and they were really nice. How the flare went under the wheel well and came out to the fender's surface, looks amazing.

The BMW XM5 are color coded where as the regular X5 version are plastic black.
I do see some very aggressive looking one but not my taste.
I also thought about doing a custom carbon fiber mid spoiler. Similar like the X5 and cayenne below. But no time or anyone who is enough to do it at reasonable price

Thanks, I guess my future SUV wont be an MDX. Acura makes great cars but come on, no where near the competitors.

The reason Acuras have almost zero aftermarket support is because they are sold in very few world markets. Look at BMW, Audi, Porsche, Merc..etc. Sold all over the world and therefore TONS of aftermarket support from all corners of the world. You wouldn't believe how much aftermarket body kits..etc are available for the X5 alone. Even things like the XC90 have all sorts of trim and kits. It sucks because the MDX is a nice crossover, I'd love to see a nice spoiler..etc available.
No too much people modify MDXs. I would put it a 1% of the people like me would like to do it but need it has to be custom made. Unlike company like BMW or Mercedes or Audi they have power house tuner such as AMG, Brabus, Carlson, Alpina, AC Schnitzer, ABT or so forth. They target high end vehicles because most of those customers like to be different or individual or unique and tuner shop those customers willing to spend top money for it. Unlike Acura or Honda or Toyota, Japanese tuner rather spend R&D of popular vehicles that can sells fast and fast returns on profits.

I agree, part of the issue is also the fact that VERY few people actually even mod the MDX. It just sucks because it has SH-AWD and doesn't handle too badly. The potential is all there.

Thanks guys, but dont get me wrong, I do love the MDX, but I just wish there are more mods out there for us. I am a Lexus fanatic, was gonna get a GX 460 but too much for what it worth and the RX is too small. We went with the MDX, great SUV. I did all I can to it, I.e; running boards, roof rails, cross bar, hitch, aluminum rear bumper protector, fog lights, front bumper trim and I wish I can do more to stand out. Thank you guys. GO MDX!
If my MDX wasnt a lease I would jump the gun already. I had it planned out the day I gotten my 14 and 17 MDX. But I don't want to do the same mistake as I did on my 06 TL 08 RL and 12 TL as I spent $$$ on modifying it.

This is my dilemma. I get bored of vehicles VERY fast and therefore doing large mods is a waste of money and time for me personally. But I love modding lmao.

We all do LOL it's a mod bug. Here is my past vehicles that I modded. And its not cheap! Most parts I did are one off custom >_<

2006 TL
2008 RL
2012 TL
2014 MDX
2017 MDX
Damn bro, I love your Acura line up, very nice amd thanks for sharing. Where can I get the carbon fiber kit for the 2015 MDX? was the Beak painted or powder coated? Thanks
On that 2015 MDX all the carbon fiber trims are vinyl wrapped. Buying spare parts on those trims are very expensive. I usually get spare parts when I do real carbon fiber treatments. But since the MDX spare parts are expensive I just wrap them.
So the 2014 and 2017 any carbon fiber trim you see are vinyl wrapped. The front grille are vinyl wrapped in matte black.

Damn kool, I have never done any vinyl wrapping beside gifts wrapping, lol. What brand of vinyl did you use? Give me a link, I want the best quality, I will give it a try. Thanks bro.

I dunno where you are located but I am in So Cali so here is a link but I think you can do a google search thats near your area
I think there should be some sticker shop in your area where you can buy some vinyl if not you can order from that website i send to you
I have a question about wheel spacer, I saw a friend's MB GLA 250 with spacer, made his CUV wider (well duh). What is the pros and cons for them? I know wider is better for handling but what about structure integrity? Thanks
If you do get spacer get a branded name like H&R. Nothing wrong going wider just make it flush against your fender well. If you go too wide then you will need to do an bolt extension swap.

Thanks KB1, you seem to know alot, can you recommend the exact specs I.e; 1 inch spacer for the front, 1.5 inch for the rear and 5 x114.3 pattern? Thanks bro.

What year is your MDX and is it for OEM wheel or aftermarket wheel? For the spacer do you want it to be flush against the fender?

This. I would be interested in aftermarket parts as well like exhaust and aero.

Mine is 2015 MDX black pearl SH-AWD TECH. With stock 19 in rims, I just got brand new tires and they are 255/55. I was gonna get them vossen CVT rims but didn't happen. Yes, I would like them to flush against the fender even a subtle flare will still looks good. thanks bro.

Here is the link of the wheel spacer company. I believe H&R do not listed for the MDX. There is another brand call Ichiba makes it.
Best way to measure how many mm you needed is to get a ruler and measure from the side wall of the tire and then kind of eye ball it against the fender well and see what measurement you needed and then you can see that is the nearest spacer you would need.
