most bang for your buck!

the single best mod you can do is flashpro

if your looking to go with an exhaust start with the RV-6 downpipe and Flashpro.

if your looking to max the stock turbo get the ETS top mount, RV-6 down pipe,DW ev14 800 cc injectors, and a made by someone 3.5" MAF housing.

IF E-85 is READILY available then use 1000cc ev14 DW injectors

if you want to MAX out the STOCK frame turbo then you will need:

1. Blouch performance turbo with turbo smart wastegate actuator by JF
2. 3.5 MAF housing
3. 74 mm throttle body
4. port matched intake manifold
5. thermal intake gasket
6. 800cc DW injectors ( 1000cc DW injectors for E-85 )
7. DW 65c fuel pump
8. ETS top mount intercooler
9. RV-6 down pipe
10. 3" down pipe back exhaust. recommend 2 resonators be installed to help quiet interior drone at speed.

313 wheel horse power has been made with several different combinations at approximately 17 psi

Great list!

Thank you for taking your time out to make this list I have a question about the injectors. What are the biggest injectors you can put on the RDX? If it's the 1000's for only e85 what do you need to run e85? Also is its 800's for only 93 is this only flash pro needed? Forgot one more thing as far as the fuel pump what's the biggest injectors the stock fuel pump can handle? Also what the biggest fuel pump you can fit in the RDX?

CSmoney28 what power level are you trying to get to? or is there a set $$$ amount you have budgeted? as far as pumps go i think we are limited to the 340 drop in.???.

I want to stick with pump gas 93 only. I have an RV6 DOWNPIPE and the ATLP CATBACK. I also have the K&N INTAKE. I have the ETS TOPMOUNT INTERCOOLER on the way as well as the TURBOSMART BYPASS VALVE. I want to upgrade the intake manifold and throttle body but not sure which ones are the best for our set up. Then I want to do flash pro injectors and the fuel pump at the same time. I want the largest fuel pump in the stock location and I want the largest fuel rail in the stock location as well as the largest fuel injectors in the stock location. As for power the most I can make without opening up the motor and as far as money doesn't matter quality matters the most for me. Thanks again for taking time out of your day to help me.

You didn't mention anything about upgrading the turbo...so long as you are using the stocker, you're definitely in no danger of making "open-the-engine" power. But you can definitely still have some fun.

The turbo upgrade would be the last thing I would do after the fuel system is adequate for the rest of the upgrades and the tune. As for opening up the motor I mean I'm not doing any internals like cam shafts rods heads valves retainers or springs.

That's what I mean - all the supporting mods will certainly help, but at that point your stock turbo will be your power bottleneck and it cannot flow enough air through the engine for you to worry about internals. But if your phase two includes a big snail, you may as well build the top end while you're at it.

run the stock fuel rail if your going to stick with 93. it works fine don't spend money you don't have to.

your build should read like this then
EV 14 800cc injectors }
340L pump }
all from DW } basic build
RV-6 down pipe }
ETS top mount }
hondata heat shield gasket }

port matched head and intake, also the exhaust manifold can be ported and shaped for smoother flow
larger throttle body port matched to intake } drag strip emphasis more boost at launch

3.5 inch MAF housing ( to support more top end horsepower )
upgraded stock frame turbo the only way i could ensure you break 300 whp

none of this equipment means squat with out a GREAT tune.

I have the K&N intake installed as well as the RV6 Downpipe and the ATLP catback. The ETS topmount is on the way as well as the TURBOSMART bpv. I'm going with the 1000cc dw injectors and 300c dw fuel pump. I'm going to stay with the stock fuel rail. I'm also going to use the flash pro to tune it the best I can I really don't feel like spend $600 on a duno tune unless I have too. As far as the turbo upgrade I wanted a Garret gtx billet compressore wheel 22t but I'm not sure if I can trim the 11 blade to fit...so I can port and polish the intake/exhaust manifolds as well as the throttle body? Also does the intake manifold gasket actually help? Would the maf housing have to be custom because I'm it really into doing custom parts...again thanks for all the help it's greatly appreciated!

E tuning is the way to go it seems to yield good results also! if you don't want custom parts i would stay away from mixing turbo parts between different manufacturers. the cost per horse power associated with getting the custom work done wont be worth the money. 1000cc are bigger then youll ever need if your staying 93 octane... bigger isnt better if your not using it. the idle and part throttle drive ability will suffer.
the turbo upgrade that i have done a few write ups about work very well and is the only setup that's been dynoed. in other words its a proven setup that makes power.

My mechanic asked me to get the 1000cc dw injectors plus 300c dw fuel pump to leave room for future upgrades such as ported/polished intake/exhaust manifolds plus throttle body as well as a stock turbo housing upgraded with a bigger billet compressor wheel. Then if I want to bring the rpm's up instead of down do cams plus titanium valves, retainers, and springs. But right now I'm trying to hit three hundred wheel horsepower and three hundred wheel torque without doing internals. Do you have a link to your turbo upgrade? Thanks again for your time you've been extremely helpful in this process I might have to do a build thread for everyone to see.

so this is an attempt at loading a data log with 1000cc injectors i never get over 55% duty cycle on the injectors on 93 octane. im going to try e 85 here shortly so the quest for more power is still underway.

new dyno with current combo to be posted soon.

Does flashpro have a set tune for K&N Intake, RV-6 Downpipe, ATLP Catback Exhaust, ETS Topmount Intercooler, Turbosmart Bypass Valve, 1000cc DW Injectors, & 300C DW Fuel Pump?

From what I recall, it has a few basic tunes to take advantage of some simple bolt-ons. With your BPV and up-sized injectors/pump, you're gonna need some customization.

NO base maps only. If you're willing to pay for the parts $$ 2500.00+ then buy a tune from a reputable tuner. Preferably one that has experience with this platform. It makes a huge difference in the results.

custom tune is extra + cost of flashpro. Etuning would be the cheapest opinion. But dyno tuning gets you a little bit more power and you get a dyno sheet to go along with it. innovative motor works changed me 425 to do a custom dyno tuned on my old car with flashpro. They have a lot of experience with RDX

Thanks, for the quick reply but I think I'm going to go with a local dyno tuner and flashpro. What are your modification your signature shows you pushing a lot of power lol.

Also curious about the bigger maf housing! Really curious on how much power I can pull from my setup. I have ID1000's injectors waiting to be installed then plan on street tuning it.

Hondata flashpro
RV6 catless downpipe
3in exhaust to 2.5in muffler
J35 throttle body, port matched to I/m
hondata I/m gasket
removed intake resonator and routed intake pipe to front grill

Do you have a link to the turbosmart wastegate that fits the rdx josh ? I wonder what type of gains a person will see with this wastegate ? Helps hold boost up in upper rpms right ? Id like to check it out if you or someone else has a link to the correct one.

Please start your own three I'd rather not get this one closed. If the admin think your trying to sell things then a lot of good information will be lost.

I called blouch performance about a turbo upgrade they said they could do a 20t and an custom internal wastgate at an additional cost. Is it worth it do the internal wastgate and what else should I ask them to do while they have it? Thanks in advance for all of your help buddy.

Is swapping out the fuel pump for a bigger one necessary for tuning only bolts-ons?

Anyone in here running ID injectors?

If your going to tune your rdx and you have all the bolt on parts you’ll be running at max duty cycle on your injectors which is not good at all. Most of the guys on the forum are running deatschwerks injectors and fuel pumps. You need a fuel pump if your going big on injectors but for a small upgrade you should be good with the stock one.

I have injector dynamics 1050cc injectors. Not installed yet. They no longer make smaller ones .

Question.....Do you have to keep the Flashpro plugged into the obd port all the time?
Or after the tuning can it be unplugged etc?

Only plugged in for data logging or flashing a new map to ecu. You can leave it plugged in as long as you want but not necessary
