LEDs above exhaust cutout

Got inspired by the 2016 Accord rear reflectors and found some LEDs and thought I'd give it a try. Wired them to my parking light which the instructions say are 30% brightness and brake light at 100% brightness so they flash brighter when brakes are on. Routed the wires through a hole in the chassis and double sided taped them on--may go back and use screws.

Pretty happy with them. Slightly bigger than I wanted but these were the thinnest profile ones i could find. I could have wired them to signal but then i'd have to wire them independently which meant 1 more solder, or run a relay and have braking and signaling.

is the heat from exhaust gonna damage them? I like the center mount idea, like the new Z's have. I'd wire it up on a switch only like euro rear fogs.

Great idea, but I personally think they should be moved to a better location. Takes a lot of detail away from the exhaust tips. Can you post a daylight picture?

Nice! The TSX has some reflectors right about that location (maybe just a little bit higher) and there's a LED retrofit/swap part that some folks have done to give this similar appearance.

I'd also like to see some daytime shots.

For reference, the TSX rear reflectors:

I think you've done a good budget replication!

Takes away too much from the exhaust. Looks crowded.

I liked it at first but the more I looked at it the more I was like ehhh. I would think the hot exhaust would cause those to not after some time. Way to try something different though!

Its nice at night and on the first look but if you study it or stare at it itll throw you off a little but overall its a very nice mod just needs a little tweaking and it can be 100%

Very nice and clean install. Should add a bit more safety, seeing them with the brake lights.

Again, that Amazon link is not the exact diffuser OP used. He purchased the following S4Play replica diffuser:
