UPDATE!

Probably the best update. Finally decided to bite the bullet and I bought the A-Spec and lets just say it made me love the TL even more. Changes the look so much and way more aggressive. Also maxed the rears out. Love how the car sits and looks. Also ordered wheels. Some may hate because they're reps, but oh well. Bought the Vordoven Forme 9 in hyper black. Specs are 18x9.5 +22. Thinking about going with a 235/40/18 tire.

Onto the pics!

Thanks man! Trying to keep it clean. There are tons of swirls so i gotta correct those, but my car was dirty and a bit wet from a drizzle driving to the gas station. I applied mothers quick wax though a week ago though. I usually just use chemical guys. I have wolf gangs deep gloss sealant im gonna put on once i correct most of the swirls. Will post pics here when i have a chance to detail the car

Update.

Car looks amazing, but have some minor problems. Fronts barely rub. Mostly rubbing by the bumper tab areas and a tiny bit on the fender lip. Gonna slightly roll it and hopefully won't have to raise the front up. As for the rears... I maxed my rear coil-overs (on Tein Street Advance) about two weeks ago and when we set the car down, the rear fender lips sat on the tire haha. Gonna have to roll the fenders and play with some camber and hopefully that'll do the trick. if not, I may sell the rear tires and get something else that doesn't have a wheel protector on it (kind of think that is part of the problem) . Tire specs are 245/40/18 on a 18x9.5 +22

I will update once everything is done!

Thanks!

Honestly loving how the car looks and sits now (Well once i get these small issues resolved). Hopefully the rears wont be a pain in the rear end, but gotta do what i gotta do to make these awesome wheels fit.

Onto the Pictures: (Excuse the filthy car)

Heres how the car will sit for a couple months. Raised and rolled the rears. Probably gonna order Skunk 2 uca's and do a 235/40 up front and move the 245/40 in the back and sell the rear tires, then lower the car more. Kind of want it lower, but still unsure. i like the fact that i dont have to worry about scraping and what not haha.

Onto the pictures:

Hey all. Slight update. Couldnt stand seeing wheel gap, so i lowered it a tad bit more haha.

I want to paint my calipers, but still unsure of color. Color choices in mind are the burnt copper, lagoon blue, fiji green (cant find a aerosol, so may have to rule this color out), and just undecided. Any suggestions would be great!

Heres how it sits for now. I do rub, but hopefully a roll will help. If not, hellaflush skunk2's will be in my possession.

Thanks for looking!

Hey all! Wow its been a minute, but update!

Since the last update, I purchased the csl ducklip from Bruce @ endless and love it. Makes the rear end look even better! I also painted my calipers burnt copper orange. I also went lower in the front since i got my front fenders rolled. I have about approximately .5" of collar left. Lastly, also got my front windshield tinted to 40% with a brow. Love how it looks now! Not much to do now, but may be buying the 11-13 sti cs type 1 front splitter and is diffuser (still not sure since i had to pay for school.

Onto the pics!

Was at my local asian grocery store and my car looked great so i had to snag a photo

Found a pretty nice fountain in a really nice neighborhood near my house, so it was photo time!

Csl ducklip

Was at a local park and took a pic

painted calipers

another neighborhood near my house with a golf course in the neighborhood, so i had to snag pics of the TL with the new caliper paint!

Photo opt arised, so i took said opportunity.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks man! Just saw that. haha. They do look amazing. Was gonna do like a teal blue, but then it wouldnt really match anything on the car. Did the burnt copper because of the amber in the headlights and sidemarker.

Stance, ride height, and color scheme on point bro

I've been debating fatter tires on a 17" wheel or 40 series on 18" wheels. You're making me think 18" for sure.

Update! Its been a minute, but this update is a decent one. Since the last update, I got the rv-6 pre cat deletes, sold my Vordovens, went 255/40 on waffles, and did a paint correction. Can definitely feel the power, but my only complaint is when i accelerate, i hear a slight hissing noise. not sure if that is normal or not.

Ceramic coated them. Sprayed 3 coats. Didnt do the best job, but oh well.

Some of the last pics i took with my last set up.

On the alignment rack getting rid of the -3.7 camber from the last setup. Final alignment is Front: L-1.6 & R -2 (Natural camber with no camber kits). Rears: Both set at -1

All corrected and sealed. products i used were a china freight (Harbour freight) dual action polisher, decent foam pads i found off amazon, m205 ultra finishing glaze, Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant, and autofiber ultra fine mf towels. This was my first go around on correcting paint and i must say, i did pretty well. Took me approximately 8 hours of work, but well worth it for this end product! Can't believe how deep/wet the paint looks now!

Heres some video I took of the during, mid, and final correction look of the car. First, is part of the drivers door partially corrected.
basically showing a mid correction.

here is the same door, but like 3/4 corrected. I just wanted some footage of this process.

video of the hood. Hood was horrible. half and half of hood and driver side fender corrected

final product video (Hear that decent loud idle haha)

Next thing coming for the car is maintenance. Coming up on 95K miles, so i will be doing the 100K mile maintenance along with the seals that surround that area in the next couple months

Thanks for reading!

My boy, why did you not do the power combo - M105 followed by M205 for a 99.99% correction?

Great job for your first correction though man! Gotta love a freshly corrected black car.

P.S. - Get some ceramic coating on that car! Sealants work well in comparison to wax but ceramic coatings are even better.

Awesome job on the paint correction! I've been doing some research lately and going to be doing that on mine very soon. Looking at the M105/205 combo. Previous owner did not treat the paint very well lol

tbh, I didn't buy the m105.. lol. I wanted to start with the least abrasive option first and work from their. My thought process was this was my first go around, so ill just do this first then come back next year with a better plan of action aka with a heavier compound like Menzerna then do a Jescar powerlock topped with 845 collinite.

Thanks man! Appreciate the words!

I do want to coat the car, but for some reason I'd rather wait till i respray the car. I have a lot of chips on the front end and it'd drive me insane to coat it with a whole bunch of chips. Maybe just an excuse for me not spending the money for a coating, but idk haha. i'll coat it eventually haha.

I love it so far minus that slight hiss. Still gotta get it checked out. Can definately feel the difference. Worth every bit. Currently trying to get rid of my Xlr8 catback. Not a fan of it anymore. Sound isnt terrible, but i just want to change it up. Hate to go this route, but i heard multiple videos of an obx catback with pcd's and rv-6 j-pipe, and man it sounds AMAZING. Trying to go that route, but need to sell my catback first.

Correct it over winter! Worth the time!

Thanks man! Yep. That combo is great from all the research i did. Same here as you can tell from the video. Took me a year to get my lazy self to finally correct it and glad i took the time cause its x10 better!

Update! Its Been awhile. Been busy with school and work and didnt have time to update. So first off. My car finally rolled over 100k miles about two months ago, so got the 105k service done.
Twigglius's sold his 19" CR Kiwami's to my buddy, not even two months later, I bought them from him. For some reason, I couldnt stand being on stockies haha. Got some LED side markers. Loving the cleaner 6k look up front. also added 4" quad tips instead of the 3.5" quads that came on the xlr8 (still have to dial in the tips fitment. not a fan of how they look). Also got did the is250/350 rear diffuser add-on. One last thing i did was remove the rear lower locking collars for the extra low haha. also got a new steering wheel from Bruce @Endlessrpm (freaking love the new steering. completes the cockpit).

onto the pictures:

Twigglius, Me, and my buddy. Before i Purchased the Kiwamis

Must say, stockies do look amazing

Swapped the old turn signals to some LED bulbs from amazon. So far so good!

My buddy and I. Those VSXX though!

Had to snipe a couple pics at my friends dads shop

My buddies first time taking rollers! turned out pretty well considering the circumstances (Driving and sniping pics, hence the mirror)

4" quads and the is250/350 diffuser

The new steering wheel!

This new wheel is amazing! Still cant believe i have this all

I guess i have a thing for 10 spokes, but glad these are my first pair of Works!

Some upcoming parts that are coming are some Carbon Fiber paddle shifter extensions from Bruce once they release, Innovative 75a side and front motor mounts, new caliper color (will be a pretty loud color and very different. hopefully itll look good), and possibly new rotor and pads. Looking at stop tech slotted or drilled and slotted paired with Akebono ceramic pads.

Probably forgot some things, oh well.

Also, plan to do another paint correction. Paint has seen better days after the winter.

Stay tuned and thanks for looking!
