The G needed new tires...
Seriously. So I decided to pull the trigger early on getting a new car.
Over the last year I've contemplated which car to replace my 2008 G37S Coupe with. Here are the cars that I considered, watched multiple YouTube reviews on, researched, compared, and test drove over the last 9 - 12 months.
(all new models)
These pictures are old but the car looked exactly like that today as I watched it drive away and listened to the sweet grumble of that VQ for the last time. Let me tell you, if you're looking for a solid pre-owned car find yourself a G37 (unmolested of course). Not a problem with it 88,500 miles later. Anyway, it's going to a good home. I sold it to my friend who had been asking me to sell it to him since I told him I'd be getting rid of it soon.
Out of the list above I decided on the Q60 Sport. I could go into detail about why I picked the Q60 but I'd bore you and all you really want to see are the pictures So here they go.
First, here's the sticker. I've highlighted what I thought were the interesting or cool features.
I know posting the price is taboo but it's a sticker and I didn't pay that. Also, most people are polite enough not to ask but still kinda want to know the ballpark of what you pay for a car.
Oh, I had to go to Wikipedia to find out what semi-aniline leather is. Pretty cool.
Here are the rest of the pictures I took today.
I'm too giddy to give a real review on the car at this point. I'll provide a decent (enough) review after about a month or so. All I can say now is that this car is SICK!!

Let me tell you, I've only seen one of these so far out in the wild in my neck of the woods and I almost broke my neck looking at it. It is a gorgeous vehicle. Congrats and enjoy.

That red leather looks incredibly plush and almost like vibrant! Man I've been wanting a car with red leather for SOOOOO LONG. Hopefully the next one. A quick suggestion for you though, make sure you treat and condition that leather every few months. Semi-aniline leather is extremely soft and pants with buttons or things like that can scratch it easily, so be extra careful not to wear pants with buttons sticking out or if you have someone in the car with buttons make sure they are careful.
Otherwise with that disclaimer out of the way, the Q60 looks incredible. That engine has SOOOO much untapped potential as well. I'm not sure if it is the same one they use in the red sport with a detune, but if it is there is at least a SAFE 150hp and lb/ft on the table with a simple tune. Also loving that color combo, and that paint just pops! Congratulations man.

I test drove the 2017 S5. I don't like the interior of the 2018 models. I did look at the 4-Series for a little while. There were two things that dropped it off of the list; (1) I owned a BMW before and have since then come to the conclusion that I can't afford to keep one after the warranty runs out, and (2) the 4-Series that reeaally appealed to me was the one I could not afford. The M. If I would have gotten a 435 I would not have been truly satisfied.

Welcome to the Infiniti TT club! I too came from an 09 G37 coupe.
I've had coupes all my life but decided to break the ice and get a sports sedan (16' Q50 Red Sport)
Any reason you didn't get the red sport?

Oh and for those saying to tune it, there are no Nissan/Infiniti reputable aftermarket companies out yet with any software for these new motors. Intakes and Exhausts have recently been released. Stillen bought a Q50 for testing and have 2 software companies working on a tune.
There is a guy who tuned his Q50TT but it's not from a known Infiniti shop so the reliability or details of the software are unknown...good or bad.

For me if I was switching from coupe to sedan I wanted to make sure I had zero regrets so it was a red sport or bust. Love every second in the car. To be honest I am in eco mode 50% of the time around town. Lol

Wow, new car is great but your old one still looked new!!
Love the color combo on the Q60!! That interior is awesome!
Not gonna lie... was secretly hoping you were going to say the ATS-V. Been checking those out lately and would have like to see some real world feedback
