Mitchellin Pilot Super Sport uneven wear

I got a set of Pilot Super Sport and pretty happy with the handling however near the end of the tire life notice the inner wear much quicker than the outer its the front tire. Yes its not the alignment issue because I got the alignment done twice before the tire wear out. 1st time I replace the whole front shocks assembly and alignment, 2nd alignment right after replacing steering racks, inner, outter tire rods and LCA bushing. The camber was set at -1.0 and toe was -.02 for both time. Does anyone out there having this issues as well? I research and appear to be happen quite often with BMW and Tesla guys also.

Generally.....If the fronts are wearing differently than the backs, it is the car. If they are all wearing the same, it may be the tires.

Car was drifting to the right quite a bit prior to that and the toe seem to be helps out so I just leave at .02 toe which is not that bad. Well I will have another alignment done this week and I will tell them to dial in the number. BMW guy also having this problem since Pilot Super Sport have two different rubber compound the inner side actually softer than the outer. I use a durometer (hardness tester for rubber) the inner register of 65 and outter at 70. my rear primacy MX4 register at 80 all the way around.

I don't know about the Pilot Super Sports, but there are other threads with some of the other Pilots (mostly the Pilot Sport A/S+) having outer edge wear issues. However, most of those are excessive wear on the inner and outer edges...not just one edge. "Usually" wear on one edge is not the tire at fault...it is the car. Wear at both edges can be the car or the tires. Perfect alignment and suspension condition on many Pilot Sport A/S+ owners, with the inner and outer edges of all four tires being bald in under 20k miles.

It sounds like you have different tires on front and rear, so it will be difficult to compare wear patterns. My "guess" is still that if the inner and outer edges are wearing differently, it is more the car than the tire.

Brand new shock assembly. New steering rack, inner/outter tire rods, new LCA bushing.

Honestly I never expect to see my SS past the 20k miles life span consider Houston concrete road and combination of me attacking corner when there is no traffic.

Mine have a little bit of inside edge wear from alignment issues that I neglected. But they're still fine.

They pretty much stop wearing at a certain point lol. I've got like? 25K on mine...and still have 6/32 or more. They're on a TSX though. 225/45/17 on TL waffles.

which LCA bushing did you replace, and how many miles on the car?

I had a set of Michellin Primacy MX4 up front and never had this issue so this conclude to its not the car.

Nice to see toe dead-on all around. Where did you go to get your alignment done?

Local Acura dealer that has been working with me on the issue instead of throw out some BS. They are the only dealer told me they will press the LCA bushing out and replace just that, other place just told me to replace the whole arm (which I laugh in their face).
