Possible to swap key fobs?
Well, yours was the first reply in about 6 months... I think it's safe to say "no". No one ever provided an answer to the question.
Just judging from the relative size and button layout of those two fobs, I'd guess there is a decent chance of making it work. Open them both up and swap the circuit guts from one into the other, just keeping the shell of the new one.
How much does that new fob run on eBay? If it's cheap enough, or if there is a super cheap China knockoff that is equivalent, it might be a fun afternoon project.

It probably would work however, I'm not sure if the bigger fob would fit into the holder next to the start engine button. A cheaper solution would be to get a case for the worn out fob.
