meaty - just donate the car to charity and get the $500 tax deduction... your rolling shell isn't really attractive to anyone unless they plan to strip the car for parts (but it's not like you have something rare)... camry's are a dime a dozen so any sentimental value you have for the car goes out the window along with you...
if you get lucky and find a buyer to come tow that thing away, it would be someone with the exact same car and body color that might want the fenders, bumpers or interior... unless i got the car for free, i would not shell out $500 to put in a $500 used motor and gamble that is the only thing that needs to be replaced...
But he loves the car....dont you read his 8 thousand posts about it and how he took her to prom and popped his cherry with her?? he still has the burn mark from when he forgot to let the exhaust cool a bit to remind him of that night.
if you arent going to contribute something useful, you shouldnt be on this thread....
I was thinking about starting a GoFuckMe account to collect donations to buy Mystery Meat's Cramry. Then have it flatbedded to the nearest auto recycler for

My point is, anyone who came near it wanted it, like a shark wants prey!!!
Just because it needs an engine, which would be super cheap and easy to find, doesn't mean it's junk!!!
Heck, I've seen beater Camrys, wheels mismatched, broken door handles, bent fenders, faded paint all over selling for $3,000 still, with 250,000+ miles....
A $500 engine swap by a backyard mechanic, and it could easily go for $4-5,500...
I even see these go for $8,000 still... There's thousands of people who would take it right now, it's just a matter of my process... First, I'm starting with a target buyer...
So again, (and let's see if you address wtf I'm saying that is directed AT YOU and your TOPIC)...if you love the car and have sentimental value in it...and it's "super cheap to fix' and the ZOMG best year ever for the camry. Then why the fuck did you not fix...do you not fix. Why are we having this dicksuction!??!! Just do it!

take it for what it is mystery meat... Camry was never meant to be fast with BMW handling... it's an economic box of a sedan that will run forever if you don't starve it of oil... the 5s is a known oil burner... as long as you check the oil like you are supposed to, the bearings would have never toasted itself and the motor would still be running...
