if you can find a great price on a Type-S one, definitely go for it.

I couldn't justify paying double the price for one

At times I miss my old SSM. Hid the scratches very well. But I am happier with my KBP when its clean!

Those exhaust tips on your custom setup - what size were they? And why did you ditch your old custom setup for what looks to be an off the shelf one?

They were 4 inch double walled. I replaced it with an XLR8 because I didn't like the way it sounded. I am replacing the tips today though with 3.5 inch quads.

If you could, can you post some pictures up afterwards? I'm hoping to try and fit 3.5" tips on my base bumper because I'm a moron and want to do the impossible.

But that's not a base model rear fender, that's a type S rear fender which I've heard can accommodate 3.5" tips rather easily.

I know it's type s rear. I fit 4 inch quads into it before. But I know people who fit 3.5 inch quads on a base bumper with some cutting
