On that IS, you can see that they pulled the mirrors and door handles to wrap the doors. I'd suspect very strongly that they'd pull the emblems. I'd be shocked if they were able to get a clean cut around the fine details of the model numbers and badges.

all depends on what customer wants!
I'm assuming the IS350 job, the customer wanted it to look like factory. thus, all badges, handles, emblems, garnish was taken off. then re-applied later.
I'm assuming it cost $$$$ to do this and ISNT apart of the "$1500-2000" wrap job.

That blue looks sick. I wonder how the glossy wraps hold up over time compared to the matte finishes?

The only shitty thing about wraps is if you happen to bump something, you're screwed. With paint, you likely have the option of buffing it out, if it's not too bad. With vinyl, you have to replace the whole piece.

But... You'd never have to polish your car again, as long as the wrap is on!

What do you think about the metal look and textured vinyl for use on trim? Especially for cars that it wasn't even an option to get metal trim.

I wonder what kind of wrap job one gets for $1500? I'd seriously consider it.

Were they here in Cleveland, I'd think about having my NSX wrapped in LBBP, then I'd have my favorite NSX color.

Yup that is a vinyl 3m has been making for at a couple of years now. I only found out about it in the last year. The center stack on the V scratches so easily and mine looks terrible. Thinking of doing the gunmetal color and seeing what it looks like if I leave the black fake wood grain alone to go with it.

I've been thinking about doing the same to the wood trim in our Flex. Good to see that it can come out well.

metrorestyling.com About $1 a pop will get you a 3"x5" sample of any color they have. It's helpful for checking out variations.

I ordered samples of every metal wrap metro sells about two months ago. I was going to wrap all the interior metal pieces for the TL.

Someone paypal me $2 and I will mail them out.

that looks very well done. I tried messing with it last night on my interior pieces and it turned out horribly. I did use a very old CF wrap and I did it as a test only on one piece. Nothing goes with a beige interior

Thats awesome! I couldnt tell if that was a wrap or not. very well done.

as stated; vinyl has come a very long way! my boys say that it's more breatheable, meaning its more porous than of yesteryear vinyl - can work it, stretch it, bend it, etc.

Why? You can get that brushed look on your hood by washing it with a ditry, sand filled cloth

You can get a free sample pack of every color offered from 3M directly. Just pretend to be in the sign/ vinyl wrapping business and sound interested in their product when they call you. Wrapped my 3G TL key fob in the metallic stuff a few years back.

I have light brushed aluminum now stock, and it's crazy how much that scratches. I might get a piece of that dark stuff and see how it goes.
