Got me a TL-S!
Woo!! I finally got a 2008 White 6-speed TL-S! I wanna thank SDSilverM3 for making this a smooth transaction, taking care of the car the last few years, and taking care of me during the process. I flew to California from Utah to get the car and am currently on the trip home. Spending the night in Vegas tonight and finishing off the last leg home tomorrow. He's totally a stand-up guy and wouldn't hesitate for a minute to work with him again in the future. Hats off to you, my friend.
Now for some pics..

Wow dude congrats on finding that beauty. You got the exact color/trim combination I waited almost a year to find, but never could. Consider yourself lucky!
How many miles on that bad boy? Any mods already installed or planned for the future? Do tell.

Thanks man! I've been looking for about 6 months and finally came across his post here on Acurazine. I was actually going to pull the trigger on 2 other black ones, but it just didn't work out. I guess everything happens for a reason since I really wanted a white one from the get go. This one is all stock other than some LED interior lights, which is fine with me since I wanted a stock car. I plan on putting black vinyl on the roof, tinting the windows, dropping the car a an inch or 2 with some coils, and getting a set of either dark gunmetal or black wheels. That's about it though - just esthetic stuff. In my opinion the car has plenty of power!

So I paid $17K for the car with a little over 80,000 miles. Did I over pay? Under pay? Honestly, I don't care. I got the car in the color that I wanted and drove it all the way back to Utah with a smile on my face! The car's in great condition and everywhere else I've looked everyone was asking for a similar price but with over 100K miles. The seller also gave me a couple boxes of goodies with the car which included a Honda top hat assembly kit for when I lower the car, the original OEM steering wheel (car currently has an OEM carbon fiber trim steering wheel), center console arm rest replacement (he never got around to replacing it, but the current one in the car is in good shape so I'll leave it as is for now), and some extra filters and transmission fluid he had left over. Overall, I am super stoked with this purchase and it drives better than I thought it would! It's got more kick than I was expecting, too, so that's definitely a plus! I hope this info helps someone in the future in their TL-S purchase.

Congrats buddy. Thanks again for making the trip down to SoCal and we are very happy that it's going to a good home and fellow enthusiast. Can't wait to see what you have in store for it! Here's to 20 offices, DB9s and GTRs...

Here's my WDP with some mods...
Congrats on the ride - you'll love it. I personally have an '07 Type S (auto though) and have done some of the mods you mentioned:
Blacked roof
RonJon Insypyre 19" Wheels
A-SPEC SUSPENSION and BODY KIT
Rear Roof Spoiler
By the way....anyone have a ball park of what I could expect to sell my car for? It's on '07 with dual tone leather, immaculate condition and 75k miles....just curious to see if it's worth listing at some point

[QUOTE=TLS34;15775987]So I paid $17K for the car with a little over 80,000 miles. Did I over pay? Under pay? Honestly, I don't care.
Sounds about right, maybe a little high, but that may be regional...
Even so, still gives me a heart-attack if I were a potential buyer...
As for no regrets, according to the CarFax i overpaid by $800 on my our 2007 RDX tech...
So, paid $7,795, for something only worth $7,000, but really, CR-Vs go for way more than that, heck, Accords go for that, maybe even Civics, so I'm happy, and I still think we got a good deal despite the lower value...
Got it at 175k, and hit 180,000 tonight...
Can't wait to see your TLs modded...

Sometimes you can't really go by the book and have to form your own conclusion as you did with the RDX. You're happy and that's all that matters.
The banks and financial institutions who appraise and finance the car are also surprised at how well the car holds its value. The prices aren't regional as we were trying to time the market to list the car before TLS34 contacted me. Given that the I was also in the market for this very car for 18 months, tells me it isn't regional as I paid a premium for the car that was 3,000 miles away from where we live. The costs after plane ticket and covered transport was at least $33k in 2011. Did I overpay? To some maybe, BUT I was happy that it was the EXACT car that I wanted in the EXACT condition I had envisioned. Up until that point, we had seen/driven too many to count that were beat even at 3 years old. No thank you.
We could very well have listed it for peanuts at say, $12k, for a quick sale and to screw existing resale values, or, for $22k just to simply be opportunistic and not care how long it took to sell because this was not a distress sale. Neither scenario made sense and if the asking price was too high, buyer would have told me to go pound sound, and vice versa. At the end of the day, the going price was considered fair by both parties and we are glad TLS34 drove all the way home happy so that's all that really matters.
