First things first...get a VAG-com reader.
It makes owning an Audi MUCH easier.

The car is in Huntington Beach area at the moment, but the seller agreed to meet me half way in San Juan Capistrano so we'll see what's what.
I might be able to pick it up Wednesday, slim chance. Just depends on scheduling cause it's pretty hard getting a ride up there during that time of the day.
I suppose I could always take the train

If it makes you feel any better you were the very first AZ member to find out! Nothing like joining that 2 car game!

What I'm trying to avoid is getting anywhere near the 405 at peak hours - you know this, man!
I'll text you about next week, it'll be a shorter trip so it depends on if there's time and if nothing goes wrong with my stuff in TJ.

It made it just fine to San Diego, thank you very much

There is a lot of truth to what you say, but it's going to help so much having my S as a backup.
If there's unforeseen issues pop up (which there most definitely will), I can take my time and nurse it back to health at my leisure. I would never daily this thing, ever.

I'm all about the preemptive maintenance. Most of which has been done, but the bigger ticket items have not but they do not have any issue(s). The biggest thing (by a mile) is when the turbos need to be replaced .. which calls for a full engine pull. When the engines out, it's the "Welp, might as well replace everything while it's out" situation which can be big $$.
I couldn't give you an estimate on how much longer they have, but they boost nicely and make no alarming sounds.
As far as common issues, I'd say:
Oil Leaks
Boost Leaks
Boost Leaks
Boost Leaks
Control Arms
Misfires (lots of sensors)
Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm sure they could use replacing, but the car feels pretty planted as is during gear shifts. A little bucking, but nothing compared to what the broken motor mounts were like in my old 6MT Accord which made stop and go traffic unbearable.
Thanks for the suggestions!
