I'd post it up for eleventy billion dollars. Drop the price by $1 per day until someone buys it. May take awhile.

How about you use this fancy thing called "Google" and research what other TL-Ss are going for in your area?

Jesus, what is happening to this place? Everyone just wants to be spoon fed rather than spending 3 minutes to do some homework.

We have zero idea what condition your car is in. Your 8/10 can mean 6/10 to one guy, and 9/10 to another. Zero pictures. Zero details besides timing belt and tires. Your location also makes a big difference.

I did lot of research, but prices for type S 08 fluctuate a lot.
Need to trade in my type s for 7 seater. I would say its in excellent condition. No repairs needed. Here are few pics..

Right, so if you think it's worth 13k, post it for that much. If no one wants, they won't call you. Then you can lower your price. I don't mean to be a dick, but this isn't rocket science.

Take KBB with a grain of salt. It's a car people want in a color people like. If it were a manual it'd go quickly imo.

I won't lie I'm going to list my 2004 manual base locally for probably $11k. Lol. I see regular old TLs without any of the maintenance done nor the mods and they are listed for $9500. Fck that!

I still don't see how a car in that condition that sold for $20K 2 years ago all of a sudden depreciated to the point of being almost worthless.

I'd list that bitch at 15K and hold firm at 13K. Key is time...if you don't have it, you must prepared your anus for entry. If you do, you can pick and choose and maybe even you end up doing the penetrating.

I disagree. With the mileage and age of the car now, I think it would be closer to 10k. If it were manual, had aspec kit, or some other mods, maybe a bit higher. But to be honest, its your average CBP 5AT with over 100k miles. It does look clean, and the interior is the two tone black, so its got that going for it.

Well, if you give people a chance to go to the used lots to see what they can purchase for $10K...
they'll be back with $13K in hand.

That's 1) my opinion, based on the market 2) where i live though.

Yea man list for what you want. You'll either get it or you won't. If you don't see much interest, lower it until you do. If you have time you may be able to squeeze some extra cash out of it.

OK all kidding aside, if it were me, and the caveat of post higher than lower because when negotiating you can always come down on price but cant ever go up...

Id put it out there for $13.5k.
Expect to get offers from 9k to 12k.
If someone offers you more than $12.5k take it.

As someone, in North Texas, who just got into a 08 Base model with 104k miles and no TB service performed but inside and outside was VERY clean, i would prob have seen your car and offered 10k, expecting to meet somewhere around 11.5k max, just for the S and to avoid the TB service.

You may post it and drop over time, and the person who wants that car, that color, etc will come along. Cant hurt.

I guess for me, there's just a number that is so low that I can't fathom selling it for that. Peanuts for these extremely good looking an reliable cars just seems insane to me.

Agreed, I think the main problem is there is just so much out there now, and its hard to find people with that kind of cash laying around. Most would rather put it down on a newer car with lower miles. Plus getting approved for a loan on a car like these (8 years old, 100k miles or more) can be difficult, all these things reduce the pool of willing/able buyers as I'm sure we all know.

Then again, I do still see people paying pretty steep prices for base models, so i'm not sure. I've sold both my Type-S's for 16k or more, but those had lots of mods/maintenance, and one had only 100k miles (the other 128k i think) But most noteworthy, both were 6MT...

All that said, I would list for 13.5k and get whatever I can for it. Realistically if I were a buyer, i wouldn't pay more than 9500 though. But I'm cheap.

It'd be closer to the clean category since it just had the timing belt and new tires put on. You never really get $ back that you put in maintenance in a car like tires.
