Wow. A 4 door Ferrari FF.
So Porsche wants to come out with something more wagon like. And they are designating it as the panamera.
You know what that means?
There is a new model on its way. A sedan on steroids. That will require a price point that cannot be associated with the outgoing panamera sedan.

If this thing loks remotely like the concept it will be awesome.
I also read it would be sold along side the regular Panamera too and not replace it.

The shape is much better than the current one. Almost like a 4 door M Coupe

In think they just call the AMG 45 that because it sounds cooler than "wagon" or "combi", in that car's case it's a made-up term like "4-door coupe". A 4-door is not a coupe by definition. And because they consider the AMG45 a "coupe" (with 4 doors) and a coupe wagon is a shooting brake, then a 4-door coupe must be a shooting brake. They already have a hatchback, maybe it's too similar if they have a hatchback+wagon and positioning it as a shooting brake makes it sound more different?
The Ferrari FF is an actual shooting brake.
Basically, if you believe in 4-door coupes then you can believe a 4-door wagon is a shooting brake. If you see "4-door coupe" as a marketing thing, then a 4-door shooting brake is a marketing thing and in reality it's actually a wagon. Personally I think if that AMG45 is a shooting brake then so is my A4 Avant. Because why not?

so confusing.
Can we call a 4 door GTI a wagon? I guess technically you can... 4 door coupe is a sedan by definition.
i dont know anymore.

I think the distinguisher here, is that Mercedes considers the CLA & CLS 'coupes', therefor a 'wagon' version = shooting brake.
Whereas the C/E class is an Estate/Wagon.
The Panamera does look good. Better than the sedan IMO.
Would still rather have an AMG E-Estate.

unlike other "things", this is not a question of opinion......... it can easily be researched and has been defined......

^ What was posted there is essentially what was said, "gray area". It confirms it. Per what's written there:
"In contemporary usage", it ranges from 5-door wagons to 3-door models (combining features of a wagon and a coupe -- which to me is just an elongated hatchback with 2-doors).
Later in the same Wiki, it says in 2014, the NY Times has called it a 2-door wagon.
So, Wiki posted does not really define anything. You read it, right...?

of course... it means, that a shooting brake can be a 3-door or 5-door vehicle.

If a 3 door or 5 door wagon can be a shooting brake then why bother with the word, it's redundant.
Ok so we need a word to describe those 3 door wagons, if only we had a word that already has a historical use around that, that many people already think of when they see a 3 door wagon... darn.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatchback
Usually a wagon has a D-pillar and a hatchback doesn't, but I'm sure there are exceptions.
Audi A3/Golf: C-pillar
Audi A4 Avant: C-pillar and D-pillar

Essentially, all shooting brakes are wagons...but, not all wagons are shooting breaks. As mentioned, it's a gray area.

The grey one looks good. I assume either a Turbo or GTS model. The red one looks terrible.

Those goofy head/tail light covers make it worse.

Yeah pretty sure those are stickers covering what the real lights are going to look like.

agree. The headlight and taillight look very fake or Porsche is so good at designing, they could make the real headlight look fake

Actually if you look really close you can see an indentation line right above the clear bottom part of the sticker. I think you can see the outline of the actual tailight because of the body panel meeting the tailight seem.

from all those angles, yes... it looks great... it's when you look at it directly from the side, that's when the ugliness happens

2016 Acura TLX
This thing is gorgeous, while the old one was a love it or hate it design. The subtle changes is the body make it look less like the hunchback of notre dame, imo.
