Hey guys,

Am looking for and trying to get a full lip kit in the coming weeks but until I find one I have a few questions.

I'm looking at installation instructions for FRONT -- SEE BELOW PIC -- or (CLICK HERE) and REAR -- SEE BELOW PIC -- or (CLICK HERE) and both instruction sets list, under parts needed, a LEFT and RIGHT bracket.






Are these brackets already present on the vehicle behind the bumper covers? I understand that I have to get the mounting hardware, i.e. various clips, screws, whatnot from the dealer but I don't see anywhere to get these brackets.

Instructions also call for a Template A/B and also a Left Cover A/Left Cover B which I'm not sure if covers are already present on vehicle either.

A viewing of the OEM FRONT LIP page and OEM REAR LIP page on AcuraOEMParts shows the brackets, templates, and covers but they are NOT listed for sale.







Can anyone who has done install chime in with any info? I'm familiar with 2G TL but 3G is uncharted waters.

 

Everything you need *should* come with the lips.

The brackets go in the wheel wells. The templates are for drilling holes.

so templates don't sound like too much of a deal then.

Brackets though...guess I'll have to ask if they're included whether I buy USED or NEW.

 

New they will come with it. Or at least mine did years ago. Used, yes, make sure you get them. I can't recall what's there stock. Do the mud flaps have brackets too? Not sure. I just remember I bought no additional parts when I did the aspec kit.

 

Actually, I'm in the same situation as well. I have the brackets, but I don't have the left and right covers. Are those already on our cars, and if not, are they necessary?

 

Pretty sure those covers come stock.

Thanks for reply but I've read that thread and have all the PDF instructions for front, side, and rear but nowhere is there any mention if brackets come with or are already present on the vehicle.

Either way though, I'm just going to ask whoever I get the kit from I guess.

if your buying NEW they should come with the brackets... i bought a lip from oemacuraparts 4 months ago and everything that was on that PDF parts list came with my new 05 aspec lip

 

All parts are inside the shipping boxes but there are times when the boxes have been poached for parts as I found out. What the boxes dont come with, and you dont need now, are the instructions to install.
