I guess my ideal "weekend" car is different than most. S2000, Miata, old Shelby. It's a weekend car because it has a more defined role. It drives really tight or it's a convertible. Or maybe it's a restored old car. Etc.

If I drop $100k+ on a car I'd want it to be something I could drive to work on sunny days if I wanted to. Not something I'd want to shelter/baby/garage queen just because it's expensive.



In short, I'd want all the hot wives of my hood to see how big my penis, I mean wallet, is. Thus I'd want to fuck it, I mean drive it, all the time.

damn...that's funny but now that you spell it out, I agree. I couldn't do the porsche as a side car either unless i got it cheap and tinkered and enjoyed on weekends. I spend 100k, I better be able to go get milk and drop z off at school in it.

I often think it's funny that people don't daily a car that's awesome for daily purposes to preserve it and then drive a total POS 80% of the time. I'm not talking you salt/snow guys either, I get not putting your cars that you love through that.

The reason i ended up in an s2000 was precisely that...i considered that M3, the Mustang...in the end, Betty was like...if it's to be a fun SIDE car, it should be impractical as an ONLY car. Miata wasn't my thing...S2000 was just within reach and Lotus was on my list but too much youngmoolah.

So...I marched into the Merc dealership last week to just see what the E-Class was like in person. Sat in the Estate (which would've been my choice)...Mein gott...what a fantastic car. I love the fact that the trunk can convert into a 2-seat mini-bench for children facing backwards. Very neat.

Also saw the AMG GT up close...and holy toledo, what I'd do for that car.




The sales rep almost had me when he said they could move on the price quite a bit...but, gotta stick to my timelines...Gotta pay for my new house. Maybe in 2 years.

 

Then what the hell is the point? I mean, every girl I've been with was a nut butter gobbler, but shiiiiet, there's a fine line between good enough and way too much.
