thats strange that they all went out. I wouldn't zero in on the bulbs themselves. Do the seat heater switch bulbs work, as in when you switch on the headlights do all the switches, steering wheel, radio, etc turn on?

No problem =)

You guys have it lucky down in USA.

ONE bulb costs me $10...

Whereas the suggested retail in US is like 5 bucks and online you get the deal of $3.50 a bulb.

Did you install the bulbs correctly? Slot them in all the way?

are you sure you put the bulbs in correct, there is a positive and negative. check your fuse inside and outside, and make sure the plug is plugged in tight. try to unplug and plug everything back in.

These bulbs are a PITA. I am working on developing a way to convert the incandescent bulbs to LEDs since no one sells them for our cars. I found a couple that are close, but the bodies are of a slightly different design causing a fitment issue.
I feel for the OP and others who have had to replace their bulbs, I just did mine last weekend. Holy shit was that a monotonous uphill battle both ways, literally from the back to the front then back again.

just do this https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/g-100-diy-led-interior-conversion-part-0-retrofit-oem-bayonet-housings-led-747846/ its cheaper in my opinion and you can choose what ever color you want to install. It would probably cost you $10 or less to make the led for all your bulbs vs $2-$4 a piece to replace which is probably costing you $20+ but it would save your time from soldering.

I ended up just buying a used climate control display and everything works. So im guessing that something went dead inside the unit.

I believe it's a single fuse. I'd be pretty surprised if the lights on the center module were somehow split between multiple fuses. I had various lights out while others were still on, like you do, and all of the fuses were good. If you go to the trouble of taking things apart to get at the hazard and center module lights, I would replace them all. You don't want to go through the drill again when the remaining 8 year old bulbs die.

Quick Question (and i hope I am doing this proper, as a newbie to this board) -

I just recently purchased a 2005 TL. I am really enjoying it, but a number of the bulbs on the climate control are out.
Using the diagrams on Acura of Delray's site, i ordered a whole set. (figure as long as i am in there, have them all new).

Some of them appear to be BLUE. could this be correct?

Thank you in advance.

Mark

Type-s LED conversion

So I bought the t3 bulbs from superbrightleds.com, they fit....once. If you put them in the wrong way (polarity is a guess) they are nearly impossible to remove. I went from bad to worse on my climate and nav buttons being lit up. Anyone have any suggestions on removing these are turning them?

Took mine out today, about 20 minutes, take the glove box off, then loosen the side panels, remove the cup holders, then the shift cover then the radio and nav screen are bolted together. You know what, just look up the how to video.

Did you end up swapping to LED? Or just OEM replacement?

LEDs from superbrightleds are a snug fit. If you get it wrong (polarized bulbs) they are a pain to get out again. Neo-x bulbs (3mm)

Replace them? It's a common issue.

Used a mix of these 2 threads +Youtube channel:
https://acurazine.com/forums/perform...-086-a-590326/

https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-052-a-557238/

https://www.youtube.com/user/VmtSquad/videos

Just finished replacing all 8 bulbs on my climate control units. Replaced the passenger seat heater illumination too(very easy) but after putting everything back together, my driver side died !

Took 2.5s hour and about $40 in bulbs from Delrey Acura. Very easy overall, take your time and dont be afraid to use more force to pry some panels off their clips. And try to remember where all the screws suppose to go.

Climate control light problem

I have a somewhat similar problem. I have just replaced all the 8 light bulb wedges on the climate control panel and they all work but they do not turn on at the same time as all the other interior lights when I turn on the parking lights and headlights. Instead they turn on when I turn on the car and turn off when I switch on the parking and headlights. I know that's not how the lights should turn on so is there anyone who can help me?

Hello from 2020! This is an old post I know but I am trying to replace the climate control bulbs in my 2005 Acura TL w/Navigation. I think at this point I have read all the forum posts and watched every youtube video out there about removing the center console trim and the actual navigation unit from the car but I can't see ANYTHING about where these bulbs are and how to actually replace them. Are they so simple that there is no video for replacing the bulbs once everything is apart? I am going to order all 8 bulbs up front and replace everything while it is apart. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you

I really liked this vid:
The only thing is, I tested my bulbs with a 9v battery and the bulbs (including old ones replaced by new bulbs) light up fine. I know the Red/Black wire provides power, and I see 12.x volts on the multimeter. Is there something else that allows the lights to illuminate? I'm wondering if an issue with the dimmer switch could keep the lights off (but yet my dashboard gauges dim just fine). I have no idea why my entire set of bulbs will not light up. Any help is appreciated.

Not sure what the OP has, but I have a 2006 Acura TL that has all of the lights out. I've tested the two wires that go to the background lights on the dimming switch in the dash. Both the RED and RED/BLACK seem to have power. I tested with an old piece of wire and 9v battery to show the light truly does work. Now, I wonder if it is getting a good ground - that seems like the next issue.

Wish I could find a good way to see if the ground has a short in it somehow. Another thing I have to try through 'trial and error.' Unless anyone has other great ideas!
