Acura cl type a exhaust?

Hi guys, I have a 2003 cl type s manual and was wondering if anyone knows of a nice deep pipe sounding exhaust system I could get for it and how much?

Your best bet is a custom exhaust, 2.5" or 3" if your trying to maximize power output..

My tanabe catback and XLR8 straight pipe was just removed for a custom exhaust if you are interested.

Here is a link to it. It sounds really good, and my car made 265whp and 237 wtq with this exhaust on.
Tanabe USA Inc. - Medalion Touring Exhaust

It is the only cat-back made atm for the CL. Otherwise you need to go custom or try and buy used comptech mufflers.

upgrading your exhaust gives you 2 hp according to the CL faq. Best things you can do in this order:

1. Resonator delete (free)
2. Headers $300 or less gives you 30 HP and moves the peak power from 6200 to 6700rpm
3. 2009 TL intake with custom bracket for your Actuator to open the secondary runners

I have done mufflers and high flow cat. That added power undoubtedly that u can actually feel. I also did a full 2.5 inch b pipe which added power as well but too much noise for my liking.

Mufflers are 2-4 hp as ct claims.

High flow cat adds power but loses low end tq. A full cat back will get u 10 hp for sure.

So I kindly disagree with yeu

the CL FAQ section is like 10 years old. But i agree that headers should be #1 on the list.

A high flow cat and bigger mid pipe will give you gains. You might remember 6speedNupe. He had a fully bolted 3.5 and gained 18whp and 16wtq from a magnaflow cat and 3" midpipe. And he posted dynos to back it up. Obviously a 3.2 won't see as big of gains, but it does show there is power to be had there.

You are wrong just like you were wrong about moonroof tubes thread. You say exhaust, but don't say what you mean by exhaust. Headers are part of the exhaust. Do you mean a cat - back with Oem cat still on?

You can easily gain 60 plus hp just with breather mods. Doing either intake side or exhaust side while ignoring the other would be stupid. It is one component of a system. Just slapping a bolt on Catback or axle back on an otherwise stock car will not show true potential because of other limiting factors.

I've been searching for the HKS Super Dragger for a while now but I believe they're discontinued and I lost the link to the only website that I knew had a few left. So as of now I have resonator delete, XLR8 test pipe and my stock muffler. I love the sound. I'm in the market for headers (not trying to spend $400+).

Stock mufflers get real raspy though. I actually have Accord exhaust. It's the exact same part number. However I do not know what the part number is.
