I am parting out my 1999 3.2TL with 6 speed transmission from 2003 Acura CL-S. I did the swap back in early 2008 (Here is the link to the swap thread). The 6MT has LSD, very smooth shifts, no grinding. It still has the J32A1 motor and ECU. This makes the car think it is still in park, so no speedo, no VTEC, redline at 5K RPMs (in 'safe mode').

oil filter seal and another seal were replaced less than a year ago (I will need to look at paperwork to see exactly which one was replaced)

The cons:
Body is not in great shape.
Hood and grill are damaged and need replacing from a rear-ending (I will get some pics up soon).
Rear passenger door was hit by a runaway tire. Glass is fine and mechanics of the door still work, just need to replace the shell of the door.
Other normal wear-and-tear on paint.. car is 12 years old with original paint.


New front brakes, new hood struts, Just put on two brand new tires


Transmission/clutch/flywheel, transmission mounts, clutch and brake pedal and hardware, shifter and hardware, ebrake and hardware, clutch master cylinder, slave master cylinder, basically most things mechanical that get the transmission running but no electrical.

Just name a price with what you think is fair. Shipping is going to be a good bit for that, though, which will have to be included in the price unless you are willing to pick it up from N. Florida.

Shocks were not meant for the level of drop that it has so those you would not want. The springs are in great shape, though. I would say $130 + shipping (as it says in my original post)?

That sounds good on the cruise control, I would have to check on the gauge cluster to make sure the plastic cover on it is in good enough shape. I will let you know. PM me to remind me so I can take a pic.

It would be near that just for shipping. There is a weird bump under the leather armrest part that I have no idea what it is. PM me if you would like a picture or if you want to make another offer.

Not sure what you mean by that. Yes, they are still on the car at the moment. The shifter and cable won't take much to get off, was waiting for someone to make an offer on the transmission before pulling it all the way apart, but I can if needed.

For that would include clutch and flywheel, fork, throwout bearing etc. If you want just the transmission, I can go cheaper. That does not include shipping, though.

You wouldn't want the front bumper or fogs.. bumper has seen better days and fog lenses are cracked. For the door locking actuators and 1 coil I could do $100 shipped?

They are in good shape, you'll just need some new gaskets.

I will be towing the car to a friend's house to start pulling off the big parts within the next week. It was in my mom's garage for now and I could get to a few parts but there isn't much room to work in there for pulling anything big. Since no one is interested in motor/trans thus far, the springs will be one of the first things I will take off.

I am parting out just because the rest of the car wasn't in that great of shape and it was time to move on.. too much money to spend on fixing the old car to get it to where it was normal. Got her back in 2004 in my senior year of high school. Did the transmission swap but didn't do the full thing (wiring, ECU, etc.. just the main transmission parts so that it would be driveable again), so there was still no speedo and VTEC and other small things here and there were breaking. Driving an 05 WRX wagon now.

I used to be big over in Ramblings when I was active here and have just never changed it.

Bulbs are aftermarket and do you mean ballasts?

It still reclines. You'll have to show me a part diagram so that I know which one you are talking about.

02-03 tails are off and ready to ship



Driver's side one of the 6 bolts is broken off, but it does not affect at all the way the tail light sits in and bolts up. It was actually broken off during shipment when I originally received them and I used them on the car with no issues whatsoever.

 

Sent PM about oil pan. HOw's the drain plug threads and oil pan threads though? (Guess why I need one..

Unfortunately, I don't have the stock springs to put back on and need something holding up the car to get it to the junk yard after I am done so they will stay on the car.

I actually was able to get the springs off. There was a misscommunication with the company coming to get the shell and I thought that I needed to have the wheels and tires on but they said it could be on jacks/blocks. Wackjum ended up buying another pair so they are still for sale. Still need to get the spring compressor and get the off of the Tokico HP shocks and get them cleaned up, though.

I have most of the interior pieces, I will have to see what kind of condition that pillar is in.

I am in N Florida (Tallahassee).
