CincyAc '09 WDP AWD Tech Progression...?

I owned a 3G TL before I picked this up, and it got totaled. I posted in the 3G forums, with pictures so I wont go into detail. Here is the link: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/totaled-my-baby-875674/

So I asked around on the forums about the white/umber combo, which is really what I wanted, but thought it would be impossible to find. Thanks to some of you on here I was motivated to not settle and find that combo. When I looked there were 3 available in the U.S. (according to auto trader, and about 6 other used car sites, I think I found it on usedcars.com)

There was one in Seattle, one in Florida, and one in Nebraska. Since I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, Nebraska was the closest. After much convincing with the wife, I bought a ticket to Lincoln, Nebraska, flew out the next day, and drove my baby back home, appx. 12 hours. Also, the one in nebraska was $26k, the other 2 were above 31k. The one in Nebraska already had tinted windows (which was already on the list of immediate upgrades).

It also already had a Takeda SRI. I've read the many discussions that say the intake doesn't do much and if anything it may even create less HP based on where it pulls air. Either way, I love the sound it makes, and whats a few extra ponys? So, overall I think I got a good deal at 26k for SH-AWD, Tech. I love the color combo, and I'm glad I didn't settle.

I have some questions:
Any way to know if there is factory remote start?
Are my wheels an upgrade of any kind?
How would I know if it was the advance package?

Thanks again to this website, I love this place.

Enough talking, here are some pics of the new addition to the family. I am not a photog, these are iPhone pics.

The first angles make the pearl look yellow, eh?

Here is a picture of what the SH in SH-AWD is all about. This was taken while I was taking a 90 degree corner, from a 2 lane to a 4 lane road, while stomping the gas. Yes I took it, and no don't try it at home.

Congrats! Love the interior!! Your wheels are the stock 18 inch 5 spoke sh awd rims, there is a factory remote start option but IMO its better to go aftermarket due to price and extras. Also 09-11 TL's did not have a advance package, therefore you have the highest option'd TL they made for 2009-2011. Enjoy!

BEWARE......you are about to have a new perspective about LONG commute to work and home!!!!

Best part is it's a RARE BREED on the road!

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I am enjoying driving much more, which is good considering how much I drive for work. (I own a real estate brokerage, so I spend a ton of time on the road, about 25k-30k a year) It's going to be a very slow progression, hence the "?". I have a goal of picking up 3 rental properties this year, so cash will be tight.

First mod, besides some lights here and there, will be to put my sub in. I have a 12" JL W7, and a huge Alpine amp I've had for years (MRV-1507). Then I'm going to have to line the trunk in dynamat, can't have the rattling.

Ideally I would love to put 20"s on it and drop it, realistically, it doesn't make much sense for me to drop it. I drive way too much, and I have people in the back seat all the time. To me, the 20"s and lowering go hand in hand. I would love to have the Vossen wheels.... maybe one day.

My next move, probably wont be until late spring, is to get the headlights done by one of the vendors here. I can't stand the orange in the headlights.

I also have to say that I like the "beak" grill. I like how aggressive it looks. I do like what Nexson did to his though. And the RJ grill is nice, but not worth the cost.

What I meant was, is there any way to know if the remote start was installed on my car? The dealer didn't know anything about the car. I don't think it was, but who knows.

Congrats on the purchase that interior looks mighty fine! Still cant get over the 09-11 exterior styling, but besides that I know its still a great car. My first mods would be going after that front end and do something about that grill. I also really like the 2012-2013 black housing headlights a lot!

I hear ya, not the safest move to play with the radio/nav while driving on the way home, but it was unavoidable.

Ah, thanks
