For those of you who live around Little Rock/Memphis, we are putting together an event on Saturday, September 15th. We are planning on meeting in downtown Memphis around noon or 1pm (time pending), grabbing some grub (perhaps Beale St), taking some pics, and doing a cruise. I'm open to moving the date. Do we have an idea on how many are planning on attending on the 15th vs. attending a different date, say the 22nd or the 29th? I guess if we wouldn't gain any "new" folks by switching the date...is it worth changing? Yet, if we can gain more folks, let's certainly change the date. So, I'm open.

 

Come on! Let's get some representation here. We can meet new folks and enjoy existing friendships, taste some great grub, envy our cars, take pics, and cruise the area. What's NOT to like about this!?

MEM04TL (or those from the greater Memphis area)- Do you have any ideas on grub? Some individuals may be on a tighter budget than others. We may want to try to accommodate a variety of budgets.

Is Gus's Chicken good (I think it's right by Beale St)? If not or if that isn't a preference for the majority, let's let you guys (Memphis crew) select the restaurant...it's your town! Sean (ActRightSB) and I will be convoying and I "think" he is open to wherever, as am I.

Also, Dyers Burgers, The Pig on Beale and Hard Rock are some more options. Gus' Chicken is awesome if you never had it before.
Trying to figure a cool route around Memphis to cruz, other locals throw some ideas out here.

I think Sean (ActRightSB) and I are pretty easy going with food. Mem04TL said Hoosters may be a good location, particularly because it is attached to a parking garage. Again, just let us know what the consensus is and we will gladly meet y'all wherever. I do like the idea of using a parking garage or something to keep us all together; it may also provide for some great pics. For you local guys, can you start thinking about some neat locations so we can get a few neat pics of the cars/crew and backdrops? Finally, thanks for thinking of some good routes for cruzing. Granted we are a week out but, as of today, the weather looks awesome!! ActRightSB and I look forward to meeting you guys (and gals, if applicable). Sean and I will be bringing our boys, who are 10 and 11. Afterall, we believe the children are our future...the future of car-modding and AZine, that is!

Finally, are any of you able to take some pics (I don't want to assume anything).

Any one of the place Hofiveo mentioned is within walking distance of the garage we can use. We can still use that spot and just go from there on where to eat, sound ok? Island Dr may be nice spot with the "M" bridge in the background. Also riverside with the pyramid in the back. I'm not too sure on that many place, hopefully others can shine in.

Some places to think about for photos, graveyard is cool and halloween is cool there with cool headstones/statues. Pick and choose, some are real close to downtown and could be part of cruise to take pics at different locations. Sound good?

 

I'm down to eat where ever. hofiveo, nice link on those top 10 photoshoot spots. Memphis looks like it has some picture perfect areas.

hofiveo - Thanks for posting some of that. I echo ActRightSB and Mem04TL...some of those look like great spots for great shots. As far as grub, I've heard awesome things about Gus'...I concur with ActRightSB that we can eat wherever the majority decide. If it's Gus, great; if it ends up being someplace else, that will work too.

As of this morning, we are expecting sunny skies and 83 on Saturday. I think we are going to have a great day!!
