Need to pNp the heads. Then tune w/ piggyback. 15-20 crank HP gain right there.

What he needs is the 80mm throttle body setup, along with the intake mani opened to 80mm. That would probably yield around 10whp up top and some torque throughout the band.

Funny that both of you said that, Im plannin on doing some work on the heads soon. Also planning on trying to run a b series 74mm throttle body. Hopefully I can do this within the next month or so.

Ooooooh

If you do the 74mm TB are you gonna open the manifold inlet to 74mm as well?

I'm still debating on taking my butterfly valve out or not...I've heard mixed reviews.

A little update went to the track last night, best weather weve had in months in the low 70s. Only got to put in two runs because it was so packed. ran a 13.6 and a 13.7. Great trap speed not so great of a 60 ft. lol

Very nice man. 104mph is nice! You could be in the 12s on slicks....

I see you have the AASCO flywheel. You have it paired with the OEM clutch? I thought that wasn't possible.

You can run it with the stock clutch without a problem.

Very good times and dyno numbers! I wonder what it would run on slicks..

I doubt 12s but Im sure a real low 13 is possible with slicks I would just be scared of snapping an axle and the clutch not being able to grab.

WHat!!!!!!!!!!! I was told it couldn't be done because of the issue of springs. I was under the impression the springs were NOT on the stock disc, but on the stock flywheel and that the aftermarket disc indeed had the springs on it, when the flywheel didn't.

I was told this by a very reputable member so I had no disputes whatsoever.

12s are definitely possible. You had a 2.26 60' and ran 13.6. With slicks a 1.8 is entirely possible, and would get you down into the 12.9 range. I think the LW flywheel is helping your trap speed. How did it feel after you installed it?

The OEM flywheel is dual mass, if thats what they meant. There are springs in the stock disc as well.

Oh wow. I wish I would've known that. Since my stage 2 kit didn't work, I would've just used the lw flywheel with the stock kit I bought. The most important piece of the kit to me was the lwfw. I don't need the Stage 2 'clampability' (word?) as my stock clutch now tweets 3rd with authority. Ugh, oh well. What's done is done.

Sorry for the 1/2 jack reese. I'm jealous of your ET/trap. Hopefully when I go to the track very soon I will run something similar, although my hp numbers aren't quite as stout as yours.

I just thought some might be interested since this has been speculated a lot. I was looking at j32a forum and read a post from p2r about what the tuning added number wise. Here is the quote from P2R.

"Tune picked up about 7-8 hp on peak, but about 40 hp in the mid range. "

^ You need to do the 3.7 TL intake manifold and a larger throttle body. With your mods and large intake, you'll probably gain like 15whp.

Did you install it yet? You know the 3.7 manifold is 75mm at the opening Do it.

Hope the Accord is treating you well. I got dyno'd the other day again with my new exhaust. I put down 256/222 SAE corrected. STD numbers were 264/229.

on the new numbers.I installed the new throttle body the day I got it.lol The shitty thing is though the stock manifold can only be ported to about 71 or 72mm. So I got the mouth out to 74mm but it tappers in at the neck to about 71mm or so. I ported it till i busted a tiny hole through the manifold, nothing a little jb weld couldn't fix though lmfao. Went to the track last night to see if there was any difference. Ran a couple 13.3 at 105mph, Im sure though if it wasn't 80 degrees and like 90% humidity I could have beat my personal best of 13.2 at 106. I will upload some vids later .
That three inch exhaust gave you some nice gains, I think its time for me to step it up to a three inch.

just to put things in perspective as far as dynos go... see my sig ... thats how much dyno numbers mean ... now compare them to my 1/4 time ... next in general you will trap higher if you spin some out of the hole youve effectivley lengthened the track wgile simulatneously running the rpms up ... at both 1.9 and 2.0 60's on 13.30 @106 passes this mph is definetly not capable of acieving 12's short of some very low 1.8 60' im certain 108 is about where we need to be

reese ive spoken a few times as to my trick to getting better traction its pretty simple block the rear springs helps minimize the weight shift off the fronts

p.s. your 60's may be being affected by your missing butterflies

^ That's why I tell people every dyno reads differently. I put down 256/222 SAE. You put down 257/232. I know 100% your car is faster than mine. Dynos should be used to see gains mostly, because it's impossible to compare numbers from different dynos.

Reese, I'd advise a 3" exhaust for you. I'd also suggest a Venturi merge collector. I didn't think I gained anything at first really, but the numbers say otherwise. I got mine from SPDexhaust.com and it's awesome quality.

Btw these numbers are uncorrected. I'd think you would put down more like 270/230 SAE.

If only they made ITB's for a v6.. haha, cams should be on your hit list. breaking the 340-350whp barrier should get you into the 12's with slicks.... that alone should be a nice daily driver.

lol..i thought i was spinning tires at the track, but the only thing spinning was my clutch...haha..its barely even driveable right now..my flywheel should be in by next week, and i already have a clutch rated for 450wtq, but i gotta find someone to install it..its my only car, and everyone around here needs it for a full day or 2, plus they want 1000 to do it

Ok so I finally got an exhaust after running open header for a while. My first impression is man this thing is quiet, almost too quiet lol but sounds very nice and deep. Ill upload a sound clip later. I had my j pipe modded to have a parallel 2-1 merge and It goes 2.25 inch to 3inch. I have one big magna flow resonator and the exhaust exits through a vibrant muffler.

Here is a pic of how the motor bay is looking now

And finally a couple pics of how the car is looking

I'm curious to how much power it makes and how it sounds now. Our setups are similar power wise. The car looks clean and simple. I like the way white looks!

didn't want to clog up the kills thread. Did you have to modify that b series TB at all?

The throttle body requires no modification. You do have to modify your throttle cable bracket slightly and you have to mod the iacv to keep it working. The iacv requires air before throttle plate and after ,so you probably have to drill a hole in the intake and one in the manifold. Also you will lose cruise control.
