Your RPMs wont drop at a set speed since the gear ratios arent changing.

Do you mean at idle? Honda says it should idle between 750 and 800rpms. Did you measure the gap on the plugs before installing them?

It seems to have gone back up now, probably a placebo effect, or my tranny going the way of the shitter.

Eh, I'll just do to the CL what I did with the Kia. Catastrophic failures on cars are just another excuse for me to move up to something better

ALL Iridium plugs are pre-gapped for their specific application, regapping is NOT recommended as you will damage the point on the plug.

Front plugs are way easy, the back ones are kind of a PITA as you have to remove the MIRC to facilitate access to the rear cylinders.

I also used anti seize designed for spark plugs because after 8 years and 90K miles they were not really easy to remove.

I did not unplug my coil packs i just unbolted them and laid them aside as I did each plug one by one.

Before changing plugs I did my seafoam treatment using the automatic transmission version of the product to clean out the intake and whatnot.

After changing plugs, car ran smoother and got slightly better gas milage. Old plugs were normal for engine that is in excellent shape.
Seafoam never made a engine cleaner specifically for the automatic transmission.

I hope you didn't put Trans Tune in your engine:

Driving around for the last two days, seems to have trouble auto shifting from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th in D5, D4 kinda works and the sport shift is requiring multiple presses upwards to shift up (@ ~2000 rpm).

TL;DR :

My tranny is fucked.

Fun side-note, found out today that my speedometer from 120km/h onward has dead lights.

Time to GTFO while I still can

MOAR FAIL:

CD started giving Err0-1. I found that you can get the disks out by smacking the passenger side foot-well where the head-unit is a coupe of times then ejecting disk one, switching to disk 2 then get Err0-1 and repeat till all of them are out (all while driving @ 140km/h on I5 ).

Mine worked for a day after I bought my car, then it failed. It currently resides under my bed until I sell the car it has been replaced by a double din.

So... long time no update...

Well, I took my CL to get an oil/ coolant change, the AC leak-tested and recharged and that damn spark plug removed and the new one installed.

Well, the mechanic did 3 of the 4 things... the plug is so badly stuck in there he says that if he tries to remove it any more he will either shatter the plug or strip the threads, neither of which he wants to do or fix. So the old plug remains.

On a side note, the cluster lights started working just fine again... made no sense, 1/2 dead one night, perfectly fine from then on...transmission has been acting perfectly too (over 2000km in 10 days).
