option pulley vs UR pulley

I was wondering which one is better performance wise. I also have a system in my car and was seeing that putting the pulley on has an effect on it. I have an amp but I dont want to mess up my alternator, but is this true? Would I need to add anything if i want a pulley?

If you have a system, I would go for the UR stock sized pulley. The option pulley is only available in underdrive, which you don't want if you have a system.

It's just a piece of aluminum like the expensive ones. No distortions, burrs, defects..... no ridiculous price tag. There are members that have run it 50k+ with no issues, and many other members with no problems as well. Check the CL side if you have concerns. The pulley and belts should run you under $50 if you look. I use goodyear gatorbacks with mine.

Do the ebay vendors CNC machine the pulleys and have them 0 gram balanced like UR? I doubt it. All parts aren't the same. Material and quality are different. Just because it bolts on doesn't mean it's the same quality.

If you have a stereo you would want the stock diameter pulley.

would you advice to put an XLR8 UR pulley without making any previous mods? I just had an AEM CAI put on my 05 tl last weekend, and the mechanic recommended that I place a pulley on the car because it will gain more HP. Is this a good advice?? (sorry for the ignorance, and intruding on your post)

You do not need to do any other mods in order to install the lightweight crank pulley.

I am very interested in installing a lightweight crank pulley. my car is stock, so what would be the best parts for maximum gains without putting anything at risk? (links with parts descriptions would be great)
thank you!
