it wasn't a random stop. they saw your illegal tint and that was enough for them to come at you and look for more. Glad that they only got you for tint.

You can try to go after the dealership to pay for your ticket and remove the tint as if you have proof that they let the car go off the lot with illegal parts, they are responsible. (not a lawyer, but would be my argument. Especially so if your state has vehicle inspections and they passed your car.

Try going back to the dealership to inspect it. How percent is your tint?

where are you from, law in MA is 35% all around, and of course no windshield tint, people who do that deserve to get in an accident and only hurt themselves.

Agree.

Dont agree. This is of course assuming the OP was not committing any moving violations and does not have any other illegal modifications to her vehicle. But you cannot assume that a peace officer will cite you for numerous items when he pulls you over for an illegally tinted vehicle.

Normally I'd say to each his own, but what is the point of that? it just seems dangerous and stupid. At least with something useless like staggered setup on fwd you're only hurting the car and not your safety. carry on

I recommend this stuff for everyone to put on their windshields. Look at the numbers. 99% UV and 43% heat rejection is a no brainer, couple that with only 78% VLT.

agreed, what I was referring to is the LEO was looking for more than just tint. When pulled over, they look for seat belt on, registration current, vehicle inspection valid then will see what they can see/smell in your vehicle.

Not saying that the OP is a bad person, but they check you out fully.

I learned that if you don't want to get busted, don't give them an reason to bust you.
