Looks like heeltoeauto.com is about to do the downpipe and is taking over production of the ATLP catback.
Downpipe will delete 1 cat, might stink though.

 

They have a line forming for both catbacks and downpipes, I love the cat back.

Kaze, you have the ATLP catback, is it loud, does it improve performance?

 

It's not really loud( nothing like a N1 muff-can) a RESPECTable sound. The Start up is still porn to my ears!

Yes it does improve performance, very subtle, mostly shows on dynographs. I really noticed faster load bearing revs, kinda like a lightweight flywheel upgrade.YMMV!

No background information of who is building and what kind of material/tuning is done.

It rings a bell to me to saying thanks but no thanks.

Even with 1000 posting; I would trust/buy from Mr.Heeltoe any day.

wouldn't just gutting the cat of the downpipe yield similar performance results as buying a new one?

 

the catback is not going to be that much of a performance boost. maybe 1 hp but even that would be subjective. removing the cats is going to get you the gains you are looking for. you can gut out the second cat pretty easy, but the first one off the turbo will be a lil harder to dig out. if you are going to try gutting, just expect to be working at it most of the day. and wear a resperator.

 

when the turbo kicks in thats when you hear it roar like a beast !!!!

Awesome! I guess I'll just get both! just let me know when they are done Don. I need a reducer 3-2.5 inch at the mid-pipe though.

There will soon be a dedicated thread for Don's Down Pipe! Its already in production and is about 3 weeks away from comlpetion. Its being manufactured by a reputable custom fabricator. So stay tuned.

Thanks guys to all that have contacted me.I am picking up flanges from laser jet cutter today.I could not find anyone building this pipe.So i know some great fabricators here in vegas due to are huge sand buggy groups.The pipe will be sold by me for the first 5 .After that the will be sold at jason alper motorsports.Jason makes custom sand buggys and brackets for ls1.We will be showing all parts the jig the welding the install.Now guys heres the deal because we make each one at a time if you want a extra o2 bung or changes we can do that also.And if any one wants to know more about me or the pipe call 7022371184

 

The price will be set by end of week.Guys i built it for me.So all parts and work will be first class.Thanks again don Also guys if i find easy ways to do instal or extra goodies at the same time i will let you know.I am not selling anything else yet i will let the market leed us.We can build almost anything you need.Ok that out of the way.I am installing hondta intake gasket at this time it is way easy and if you see the stock one you can see why the hondata is so good.This job can be done with out disconecting any lines or fuel hookup this is very easy for power return.I will asy ti again guys if you mread pangs post and mine.This down pipe does not come off easy at all and if you have high milage it could be hrder.I am looking for help here any one know how to get back nut off easy on turbo side of down pipe? I was going to plasma cut mine off but way to much heat that close to alumminum block.Well i will post pics and events we will enter.Thanks don
