This was a custom kit made by my stereo guy for my 1G RL as it was almost impossible to find one in the market (the shape of the dash opening is non-standard, hence the need for a custom kit). Take a look at pics for fitment. This one will allow you to put a Single DIN player in the 1G RL. There was a small hole drilled in the compartment below to allow for the USB cable to come in and I used to keep my Ipod or USB flash drive in that compartment. Used for about 6 months. I went to a dual DIN stereo, so I needed to build another dash kit for that.

I also have the Kenwood HU (in the pics) - KDC-MP538U, that is an excellent deck and I am not sure if I want to sell it yet. If anyone is interested, do let me know. Better deal if you purchase both.

 

how come you didnt just mod this to make the double din unit work? are you making a new double din kit yourself? id like to see the progress and process as i might be doing the same, if not, i may just end up buying this from you and moding it to work with a double din unit...
