ACURAZINE CAR OF THE MONTH

We finally got what we were asking for

• This will consist of the first 15 days of submitting cars for Car Of The Month. At the end of the first 15 days we will begin the judging, and of course judging will be performed by the members of the forum with a one time vote via a poll. At the end of the 15 days the submission thread will be locked and a new thread will be made available with the voting poll.

• Car Of The Month winner, will receive some sort of recognition (title/badge under the username, maybe their car featured on the home page... although I cant promise anything ) however, it is currently undecided what will take place for the winner.

• Car Of The Month judging will take place the month before the winner is announced. (October judging will determine Novembers winner, where the November winner will carry the badge for the entire month of November)

• MurkyRiversTL will make the month submission threads and sticky them so they can be found easily. Lets keep this forum clean and on topic

I have every Mod Touge has except Mugen Aero Kit and puddle lights. But my Rotora BBK and custom sound system makes up for that...Never like any of the aero kits offered to our KB1s.

I think it would be smart to have different categories for car of the month. Ex: 1 TL, 1 TSX, 1 RL etc. It doesn't really make sense to dump them all into the same pile as the amount of mods for say RL is virtually non existent compared to a TL or TSX.

 

Amount of mods are irrelevant. That RL posted above is a damn nice ride and Im sure he would get plenty of votes. Its not a "most mods" contest. Its a car of the month contest and its the members of the forum deciding which car is best not a panel of moderators.

 

ok, so let's have 200 RL members vote and 2,000 TL members vote and I bet the results will surprise....no one.

 

No reason to be negative. If you dont like the idea, then dont participate. Simple solution. Or you can see that most members will actually vote based on the look of the car and not the fact that they have the similar model.

Everyone hates the 4G TL but there are submissions for it. Will it win? Probably not, but the point is to get members involved and the cars that stand out the most and are unique will win.

Most members stick to the sub forum that their vehicle belongs in and rarely ventures to the other sections to see other members cars. This will allow all of the members to see how some of the other models are modded and show appreciation for that.

Im sorry that you feel the way you do about this. Perhaps one day you might be car of the month and it will change your opinion

 

Murky, I wasn't speaking to be negative, I just figured it would make more people happy if each model had it's own car of the month.

But I guess it's gonna be good for a joke if I submitted my car eh. Just for you.

 

i agree... while it is a competition, i think the ultimate goal of COTM is to get members involved so they can appreciate/showcase the hard work that ppl/they have put into their rides... im sure ppl will disagree with me

 

I understand what you are saying, but you dont speak for everyone and neither do I. Lets first see if everyone hates the idea of Car of the Month. So far, it seems to be doing well.

Plus, if we made it for every model it wouldnt be CAR of the month it would be CARS of the month and would defeat the purpose of this showcase.

 

not to monopolize your attention...but I went through some pics of my car and haven't found anything worthy.

I assume car of the month allows me to submit any car...I have some photos of an R32 which I think are worthy.
