I am about to order a spoiler for my TL, and am having a hard time deciding if I want to go with a lip or wing spoiler.

I had thought I was set on the wing spoiler, but after checking out some pics around here I am torn....

I will also be doing the underbody kit in june or so.

i say go with lip! the wing spoiler looks funky to me.

its up to you, I got a wing, no way I was going to spend $280 on a lip and from far, you really can't notice it.

Lip. I think the "wing" was fun and looked good years back. The lip will add a little character and flare to the trunk, without it being too much. I have only seen one or two TLs on this site, where I have said, wow that wing looks good, since it went with other mods that the owner has done. But, it is YOUR car. What do you want to see everytime you look at your car?

Its $280 for a lip?? I thought I saw on ebay from thespoilerstore that it's around $150 for shipping. I'd say go with the lip, but that's my personal preference

 

Get the lip.. i got the lip for $75 shipped, but that was last december.. maybe it went up?

i had the wing spoiler....i looked a little weird and thats why i took it off and went with the lip spoiler !!!

Get the lip from the spoilerstore for around $100 with bing cashback. But if your getting the a-spec kit, I've seen some without either and it looks good. The lip also looks good. The wing doesn't...of course that's my opinion.

 

I think the wing would look good only if you have the A-Spec kit to go with it.

I was debating on which one to get for my TL and I decided not to get any for now. No way I wanna spend $350 on the OEM lip that's hardly noticable and I don't know if I can fully trust those cheap e-bay ones. My car is not garaged all year long.

I think spoilers have become such a standard item on cheaper domestic cars and they usually don't go well with more luxury cars.

 

I'd say get a lip AND roof spoiler. =]

where did you find that price? I cant find it under $300

 

Get the Trunk Lip, that mod is like night and day and makes a huge difference to the appearance of the back of the TL. When I removed mine, my TL felt almost naked. But it was just to put back on because the mounting tape was starting to fade.

 

is it easy to put on yourself?

what about the aspec kit, easy self install?

 

whats the difference in an Aspec lip, type s lip, and regular lip spoiler??? (probably a dumb question i know)
