JL Audio 12' in Box w/JL Amp + Wiring

For sale is a JL audio 12 inch sub in a QLogic sealed box with a JL audio 250/1 monoblock amp. Also includes rockford fosgate wiring and generic toggle switch. This is a very clean sounding system and has excellent range for all types of music (not just for noise like most Best Buy setups). I am selling because I don't drive much anymore and hate to see this go to waste sitting in my trunk. Asking price is $300 obo or I'll trade for 2nd gen cool stuff or a flat panel TV.

I'll post pictures tomorrow when I get my camera back.

Also, I'll help you install it if you want. (Pretty easy to do yourself but it will give me a chance to hear it one last time .)

Is an after market hu required, or can you use this with stock radio? If so are there any downsides of useing it with stock?

Where there's a will, there's a way. You could splice the input to your rear speakers and get an RC cable converter and use that as input for your amp (I may even have a converter laying around somewhere). It will sound good, but for the best quality sound, I'd recommend using with an aftermarket headunit. I am not trying to discourage you from buying this as I'd like to sell it, but it's a really nice setup and I'd want you to be 100% happy with it. That being said, I've run a setup like that before and was happy with it.

well I am interested. I do not want to go to an aftermart headunit though because I like the stock look, and I just put a direct ipod hookup in.

How difficult would it be to splice into the rear speakers, would I have to take a lot of car apart?

Cool, it's not hard, I can help if you want me to. You dont have to take anything apart, it's just akward getting to the wires. I have a soldering iron and stuff and am happy to do the splicing and some of the install for you. I can take a picture of how it's spliced in my car tomorrow.

Okay, that sounds great, I will need help with the install. I will have to drive an hour and a half to get to Baltimore though, could you possibly throw in the RC cable converter?

I could not find the converter but if I'm doing the install, I'll need to pick up the zip ties and slip connectors anyway so I'll pick one up. I'll hit Radio Shack at some point this week and pick up the stuff we'll need. I am going on vacation from next Sunday (Nov 1) until the following Saturday but I can do the install next Saturday or another Saturday in November as that is pretty much my only day with free time.
