Tranny is in!

Got my car back last night! WOOOHHHOO!!!

So far so good, the shop said that it was missing some gaskets and some small cover plate of some sort. Other than that so far its shifting very smoothly. I guess I'll know in a thousand miles what I'm dealin with. Ive read some discouraging reports on the web about these guys (after i bought the frickin thing) but I'm sure any shop will have its fans and its haters. Next step is to replace my rear engine mount and get an alignment.

Feels good to be back behind the wheel tho... 2 months is way too long to wait for transmission.

find out whats missing and get it from the junkyard---no open inspection ports!

Be easy the first 500 miles, test it out but dont beat it
next 500 miles more normal driving with some fun
Then ok to drive and enjoy

There are a lot of parts that need to mate by gently wearing into each other, you are not bedding hi performance brakes--its a transmission~

Note- Use the brakes to slow down and the trans to accellerate

Thanks dude. I just got my mount replaced it is SMOOOOOOOOOTH! No vibrations no clunking nothing. Im gonna take it nice and slow for now and let this thing mesh in right. And I never use SS to slow down, no need to put unnecessary stress on the trans and mounts.

I should probably do a flush after 1000 miles. My mechanic said it wasn't necessary but better safe than sorry, i get bottles of ATF-Z1 for $4.50 from him so its not too expensive. They did my rear mount for $200 with parts, cant argue with that right?

by flush, I hope you mean a drain and fill x3 method and not a jiffy lube style tranny flush. machine connected flushes are not to be used on our cars.
