Update on Turbo Kit....

Well, I couldn't make it work. Our subframes are too different and I couldn't get the piping to fit at all. It would have required me to get new custom piping. If that's the case, I'd rather start from scratch. The kit is up for sale. Boooooooo.

Too bad it didn't work. Glad to hear you're still determined to turbo it though!

How much do you want for the kit? Or just the turbo?

Me 2. I was thinking of buying a 2nd gen subframe, but I think their cars are naturally wider, which would mean the bolting points will defenitely be off.

Personally I'd just sell the piping for the 2nd gen and get new piping made

Waiting on a reply from a shop that do custom fabing. Although they specialize in Toyota and Lexus only, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to help me out. We'll see once I get a response.

I was just going to see if I could sell the kit and make a new one without having to front anymore money. But I guess this kit will have to run me more in the end. Damnit.

Tell me about it. I spent $12,000 cash over the summer on the car. I haven't started saving for my car fund again yet since I was taking a break, and took those weeks off work without pay.

I have a quick question for shop owners. About how many hours do you put into custom fabrication for the piping of a turbo kit?

Found a shop willing to do the piping. Just curious how many hours it'll take as they didn't state. They charge $85/hour. I like to be prepared for worst case scenarios money wise.

So what's the average cost of cutom piping for a turbo kit?

Bout 1500 buck depending if they use all your old piping and use it for the bends the bends are expensive...... 1, 2.5 in stainless 90 is like 45 dollars
