Yes...there is a "manage attachments" now for pics!..hooray! Anyway, I have just recieved my Fog light protection kit from Headlight armor. The kit was $25.00 bucks...and there is not much to it. It is ...what it is vinyl.
OK...gotta go pick up my son...I'll advise more details when I get back...

Yeah...no kiddin'. anyway, I 'm back to finish my write up. So, the vinyl has an adhesive on it....which is rather sticky. The instructions say to "spray warm water on the adhesive side"..WTF....I'm thinking WHY do I need to spray it...it should just be "peel and stick on". Anyway, I sprayed it and sure enough..it has a milky look to it after attaching it to the fog light.
So, that pissed me off and I applied the other lens WITHOUT spraying it. It went on flawlessly and stuck. So my gripes are :

1. You do NOT need to spray it.
2. The vinyl lens does NOT fit well...they are 1/4 inch too small.
Obviously, this is a universal kit. But I have no doubt it will save my new foglights...assuming the rock does not hit the unprotected areas.

When the lights warm up, the "foggy" look will go away. Hopefully you used soapy water? Pull the other off and reapply it. Or, take a hair dryer to the wet one and work all the foggyness out of it . After picture?

i believe when spraying it with soapy water is that it allows you to apply it better and being easier to make adjustments letting it slide . the foggy look should eventually go away when the water evaporates.

Well...Again, I am happy with it and not trying to be too critical. If it protects my $220.00 fogs...I'm good with that..

Yeah bro....read any DIY and pros tell you to and when they do it themselves use a water-soap solvent to do it. Maybe our resident vinyl business owner can shed some light on that for you. Mr dude with the gold grille, where are you?.

I got mine from Lamin-X after both mine broke to prevent anything else from happening. cossted me like $15 bucks, custom made for the car.

Use isopropal alcohol, 25% and 75% water. The haze will bake out.

If something hits the fogs hard enough, they will still break. Ten years ago I was using quarter inch vinyl and still saw breakage. I didn't even bother to cover mine, but I did cover the headlights. Not to protect from breakage, but from pitting, sandbasting or becoming cloudy.

ps. It's only gold at night to oncoming headlights, otherwise it looks black.

Whoa $25 for fogs only? Well I shouldn't really say LaminX headlights + fogs is $50 and tails alone is $50. Haze goes away and soapy water is key for placement

Would these melt or discolor from the fogs getting hot ? Thinking about putting laminx clear color on my fogs
