Lightbulb Secret Project...DONT LOOK!

So clearly you didnt listen to the title!!...oh well.

Lately i've been planning to black out my headlights bc they look effin dope on CU2 CPB's.

I also was looking into getting a ccfl projector and retro-fitting it into the high beam location.

The setup:
CCFL ANGEL EYES as the DRLs ------------------- (ONE WHOLE
Projectors as the High Beams (6000k hids) ----- PROJECTOR PIECE)

(not the oem projectors)

The wiring...leaving that to the shop.

this is the look im going for....

as of right now...im broke
BUT! on the 1st of next month...i get the moneys
...so next month!

so hopefully no one jacks my idea but i just simply posted the project so i could get some feedback, opinions, and tips on it.

also im stuck with the dilemma of which color angel eye i should go with. either white, blue, or red.

-------------------------------------------------

does anyone know where the euro cu2's get their ccfls???
bc they all seem to have the same one.

good luck! my friend with the tl-s does a lot of projector retrofit for other cars as well, but if you feel more comfortable with a shop go ahead. i took my headlights to the shop instead of him lol, but i've seen his work and he does a great job lol

and its gonna be a pretty cool set up, the angel eye im not too sure, but i'll save my judgment till you have them

dont do red unless you want to get a fix it ticket. then go through the pain of getting it removed and reinstalled. stick to white or 6k

red and blue are illegal because they are emergency lights. thats why 6000K is technically frowned upon, but going higher than that is reason to be pulled over. stick to 6000K. besides that i like the look, but im really curious about the handles. what did they do to be rid of the chrome? i love the full carbon fibre vinyl wrap though. i saw someone do matte black to their red M3, they left some red highlights, like the antennae at the top. though i would love colored rims, or maybe like a dark gray, and dark gray grill. i don't like murdered out look. though its done very well

^ I agree. I mean I love halos and I really wanted them on my TSX, like you have no idea how much i wanted them, but the more i looked at it the more it just didn't seem right. Too ricey to put on a car designed like our CU2s.

BMW has been using halos in their entire lineup for years.

very true, but we know what kinda people buy BMWs...for the most part at least.

The same kinda person who wraps their CU2s completely in CF-Vinyl, correct?

Just use a good automotive type matte paint. I'm actually about to do the same to mine + highbeam replacement with stock HID Projectors.

By the way, I love those frickin' wheels. Whose car is this? They did a hell of a job. Makes me wish I'd gone with CBP in the first place. Almost did. Damnit! i hate you all.

Oh well. Savin' my pennies now for a GT-R. Or an R8. Sat in one at the dealer a few weeks ago when I was thinking about picking up an A4. I was about to empty my savings to make the down payment. After I'm done with skool...round 2.

don't do gloss, cuz stock housing is matte black/gunmetal so i'd just stick with that
