09/10 "Product Update" - Roof Molding & Windshiled Side Trim
I received these two lovely letters in the mail today; the highlights:
This letter is to notify you of a potential problem with your vehicle and what you should do to resolve it.
What is the reason for this notice?
On some 2009 TSX vehicles, a manufacturing problem with the windshield side trim may allow the side trim to come loose.
On some 2009-10 TSX vehicles, a manufacturing problem with the roof molding may allow the molding to come loose.
Both problems require making an appointment with the dealer for inspection and repair or replacement. "Luckily" for me my car is already going in next week for some follow up work.

I got my stuff done now.
They put some adhesive down on the side moldings of the top of my car from what the service advisor told me. In the past it was just a couple hooks.
And they did something to the try where the windshield wipers are and told me my tray wasn't loose, but replaced it anyway.
Glad it's over for me now.

I had my car in today for the other work and brought this up and at first they told me that they already inspected the items the last time my car was in, which I knew was not true lol. This was solidified to me when they told me that they took another look at them, and the trim around my windshield actually does need replaced now.
This is the second time one of these needs to be replaced and last year one came loose and was replaced. But seeing that this was long before this notice, I attributed it to a fluke thing that must have been related to something else.

It's a recall so you shouldn't really need a letter for it. Just hit up your dealer about it and they SHOULD cover it. My mom mistakenly made an appointment for my 2012 for this when I was talking about the ball joint lol...
