What's the black box next to the muffler

What is the black box next to the muffler?
Is this one assembly?
or are these 4 parts seperately identified?

Sorry cant help your problem but I'm curious as to where this pic is in relation to the rest of the car. Is this the third muffler area pictured??

OP, that's the evap canister and shut valve.

I believe #1 and #2 is one assembly, evap canister. #4 is the sensor/shut valve. #3 is just an electrical connector, car side.

Yep, that's the mid muffler you see behind the evap canister.

Awesome thanks. I have a date w mine very soon. Looks like it can be done w a straight piece and a 45 bend. Is that about right??
