What are latest opinions on Mobile 1 EP vs Pennzoil Ultra synthetic oils?

I've been using Mobile 1 Extended Performance 5W-20 in my 2g TL-S.
I need to decide on an oil to use in my 06 6mt.
Thinking about going with the new Pennzoil Platinum Ultra 5W-20.
Any thoughts between the 2?
Everything I've read basically seems to say you can't go wrong with either one

I agree with you - I think the consensus is that they are both are awesome oils - probably just go with whatever is cheapest and stock up a few jugs. I also am a fan of the Mobil 1 EP filter. It's the same as the K&N or expensive Amsoil filter. Got a bunch on sale. There is a new high end Fram filter that people have been liking too, seems to do really well in tests.

I always feel bad changing my oil at the end of the interval as it's so clean.

Mobil 1 EP but I'm terribly biased so take it with a grain of salt.....
It's my favorite oil and I use it for all my cars since I can do yearly changes with it.

I have seen better results after testing with extended intervals with the Penz plat with pure plus than i did with M1 ep. Both are great oils, but i have to say i like the penz better. Its what i run in all my vehicles now including my j37 build and what i put in my parents vehicles too. I wish i could find the Ultra platinum locally as id probably run that in my TL at minimum.

Yeah, I cannot find the Platinum Ultra in a 5W-20 locally, and M1 EP is on sale with an M1 EP filter, so I guess that will be it. May try the Pennzoil if/when it becomes commonly available..or go with 5W-30, which I think I saw that Walmart carries.
I have been going a year or 12,000-even 15,000 miles on M1 EP once in one of my vehicles

long interval oil changers are reminded to have a full analysis done

Also, have your oil tested around 7500/6months at blackstone labs, pay the extra 5$ for test on remaining life of oils additives, 25 total USD,,find them online

It has gotten to where I now put less than 10,000 miles a year on any one of my vehicles, so I'm just start changing them once a year-whether they need it or not.

oil is like brake fluid in that it attracts moisture.
Engine oil can dry itself out with a good 30 minute weekly drive, same for the PS fluid.

I'm a huge believer in Mobil 1. It's the only thing I run in my vehicles. The real test for me was running it in my race bike - any oil that keeps an engine running without any hiccups after a full season of racing (culminating with sprints and endurance racing at Daytona International Speedway) has earned my trust.
