update on hesitation problem from reverse to drive...
On my local dealer's(Cerritos Acura, The largest Acura dealer in the nation, sells the most.) maintenance schedule pamphlet it says...
About your Acura - Answers to Commonly Asked Questions,
Transmission makes metallic noise when shifting from forward to reverse, or VISA-VERSA. This is due to the fact that it has a direct drive reverse similar to a manual transmission. For this reason, the vehicle must come to a complete stop before moving the gear selector to forward or reverse.

I can't imagine not letting it stop before changing directions... that's torture on the car.

Funny... I was about to question my dealer about my transmission because of that same reason. I don't think I have driven any other automatic car with that same problem... I think. I guess this is the first auto I have owned so I notice it more.
I guess everything is okay then.

The clunking sound is a Honda thing..they are notorious for that.
