Trying to install CAI, what is this part and sensor?

I plan on installing an INJEN CAI this weekend, but I noticed that my TL-S has this part with 2 sensors that resembles a TB between the actual TB and intake tube. Any input what it is? and what must be done with the sensors to install a CAI?

You won't be messing with any of that stuff. If you bought it new, it will come with instructions, if not just search online. Very simple install, can be done in about 20-30 minutes.

The real throttle body is next to the intake manifold. That next one closest to the air intake is your VSA TB. Essentially, follow the instructions, you don't need to touch VSA, if you got the right CAI, it should fit just fine.

I'm actually buying it used from a fellow member, I will be swapping my oem stuff for his injen stuff. I took a look at his car but I don't recall seeing that VSA stuff in his car, even tho is was a type s also.

My TL isn't a type s so it doesn't have VSA, but I would recommend keeping VSA so you don't complicate things.

pardon my makeshift intake.

as a reference, this is how the Type S engine bay looks with an intake and the engine cover on

if you bought it from someone with with a TL-S then you should have no problems installing it. look at the DIYs for reference as well.
