Transmission Failure Codes?

I got my car back today after having the tranny replaced. I was looking at the work order and it mentions that they retrieved codes #P1750 and #P0700. I'm curious as to what these codes actually mean in English (besides the obvious "tranny sucks" and "tranny died" explanations!

P0700 is triggered when there is a problem with the trans. Basically that code just tells the tech to pull codes for the trans.
P1750 is for a solenoid. I can't remember for which one... when i get back to work i'll look up the code. Not sure exactly when I'll be heading back,,, knee injury....percocets rule!

Yes, if you have a little knowledge of these things that the average Acura owner does not know, it throws the sevice people for a loop, and then they know you're not going to buy any of their BS.

Agreed .

Many business like to throw out BS to ppl in hopes that they'll fall for it b/c, it save the business from doing too much work while still bringing in the $$$.

Business really hate me b/c I know what I"m talking about.

LOL LMAO, for instance, I was at the BOSE factory outlet at Prime Outlets Niagara Falls, NY, USA about 2 wks ago; my friend approach the sales person and asked "what does that 6" tall by 10" wide DVD Bose system do aside from play DVDs?"

The sales person said "oh, it's just an ordinary DVD player that is taller but less wide than the average dvd player."

I suggest to the sales person, who is about 35yrs old, that that so-called 'DVD player' is also an AMPLIFIER for 5.1. HE's like "NO, it's not."

So as my two friends and I leave, bearing in mind that I"m only 22yrs old, my friend looks back at the store and sees the manager lecturing the sales person right in front of that "so-called" dvd player ). Bottom line, I was right )
