rear wheels locked

Hi, I just got a 2000 TL3.2. The car has been parked outside for more than 5 years. Now the rear wheels are locked, fronts are fine. I can rotate about half inch then feel it's mechanically blocked by some metal. I've already removed the caliper, tried engage and release the emergency brake a few times. I have no knowledge about the mechanics inside the hub, don't know what could have blocked it.

^^
Release the parking brake, then take a couple of M8 bolts and insert them into the two threaded holes provided on each rear brake disc.
Evenly tighten two said bolts until the brake disc separates from the hub and / or E-brake shoes.

hopefully it didn't just "break."

you still have parking brake functionality? Might be wise to get inside the rotor hat as zeta mentioned and inspect to make sure everything is working properly.

search for "99-2003 service manual" if you need the soft copy for guidance.
